I am so lost. I’ve spent HOURS trying to set up my website using Retro 4. I’ve read the documentation but I’m still confused. I am new to this and mistakenly thought this was something I could handle. I continue to have difficulty finding any type of support.

I guess you’re having troubles with WordPress, because Retro is one of the most simple themes you can find on ThemeForest. In that case I recommend to search for a tutorial (there are tons) that shows you how to get started with WordPress. 2. There’s no option for that, you may need to customize the theme
3. That icon (or better, the logo) comes in PSD format so you can edit it in Photoshop

Go to “Pages” -> “Homepage” -> Edit , and make sure that the “Homepage Template” has been assigned to the page (in the Page Attributes box).

I am getting the “Please, fill all required fields correctly.” error. This was working perfectly for months and just broke. I have WP-Mail-SMTP installed as that’s what fixed the issue when I set up this site months ago. It stopped working. I noticed the captcha isn’t changing from 2 + 3. I turned on debug mode but nothing changed. I’m not sure what to do.

I have tried disabling all plugins, and nothing happened.
I have checked out the theme and it works as it should. Just to be sure, I recommend you to download a fresh copy of the theme from ThemeForest and replace your own. In case that doesn’t fix it please open a ticket on our support forum and leave your WP credentials.

Love the look and homepage customization options!
I need help centering my logo in the middle of my menu – wasn’t able to find instructions for it here in comments or the support forum.
Also the icons I’ve selected for the About sections on my homepage show as letters versus the proper pictures. It’s a brand new installation, so not sure why it’s not working.

Your issue is related to your hosting or to .htaccess configuration, not with the theme. If you take a look at Chrome console, you can it raises an error: Font from origin ‘http://www.sharonadawson.com' has been blocked from loading by Cross-Origin Resource Sharing policy: No ‘Access-Control-Allow-Origin’ header is present on the requested resource. Origin ‘http://www.hashtagsuccess.com' is therefore not allowed access.
You can find some useful informations about that error on Google (e.g. http://webmasters.stackexchange.com/questions/71630/font-blocked-from-loading-by-cross-origin-resource-sharing-policy-no-access-co ).

Hi sorry – me again! I am trying to create a page to link to from the main Homepage. I want to add an image banner to the top of the page, but it doesn’t seem to be working. I have tried: 1) Adding a featured image – but it doesn’t appear at the top of the page (I assume it just acts as a thumbnail instead) 2) Selecting ‘Select a new image to use as a banner’ in the ‘Screen Options’ of the page editor, but when I upload an image and update the page, it removes the ‘Select a new image to use as a banner’ section from my page options completely.

Hi, I am using the Portfolio section but don’t want to tag my portfolio items. However, if I don’t include any tags, the ‘Filter by’ text messes up the layout of the portfolio items. Even though I have selected to display 4 portfolio items, the Filter By text pushes the 4th item onto a new line in a weird way…

Hi, please use the same image size for each post and it will look fine. By the way, if you still want to hide filters, the quickest method is via CSS: go to Appearance – Theme Options – Extra – CSS Code and paste this piece of code:

Sure, but you need to customise the theme for that. The file where you need to add extra infos is footer.php

1) You can create a WordPress page and link to it; obviously that will be just a page, I mean, there’s no built-in option to make look a page like the about section;
2) Retro only supports Vimeo and Youtube videos, I am sorry
3) Sure, you can decide not to include the social buttons

Hi there – I’m having an issue with the icons rendering differently on different devices. On my ipad and one of my iMacs the icons and Bebas font render correctly however on my Samsung phone and other iMac the icons are displaying as letters and Bebas font is being substituted for a different font. The issue has nothing to do with the theme. If you take a look at the inspector you can read the following message: “Font from origin ‘http://www.dev.leadfeathers.co.nz' has been blocked from loading by Cross-Origin Resource Sharing policy: No ‘Access-Control-Allow-Origin’ header is present on the requested resource. Origin ‘http://dev.leadfeathers.co.nz' is therefore not allowed access.”
That basically means you need to correctly configure “www” settings in your hosting panel.

Pre-Sale question… I am curious, how in-depth is your support and are there any tutorials. I am brand new to wordpress and have only used sites like Wix to build in the past. I will need to customize images fonts and colors, and add a couple pages. Is it fairly easy to change? I love the design but would be making it a little more simple. Thanks for your time!

We do not provide support on customisations, but offer complete, free support for issues related to the theme’s functioning.
You can change colours and fonts from a built in admin panel (you have two fonts for headings and the full Google Fonts library for the website content). Also, the themes comes with a documentation explaining how to configure the theme.
