I’ve been using Fireworks last 5 months and… for me until Photoshop doesn’t implement real vectors and real useful selector, instead of lose time grouping folders… I can’t come back to it.
lol is all I can say.
Nice idea Ivor! Sent mine!
I’m a ux / design guy and it’s my first public release on GitHub, but I hope you like it and find it useful.
You can check the current demo here.
Comments and improvements will be really appreciated,
AdrianMG saidmaybe you the first one I see who prefers spaced over tabs any reason?
[...] spaces instead of tabs [...]
Each editor has a different default number of spaces for one tab so you need to set one standard for your team.Yeah I know that functionality, but we want to use character number limitation, it forces you to write better and clean code and blahblabhal.
You serious? Wasn’t it just some friendly prank? If I would tell this to our lead developer he would beat me with a stick.
Yes I’m serious, we got this problem in other projects :s
Why would you want to limit the width of a line? Every one of you can turn “Wrap lines” ON so you don’t have to scroll horizontally… You can set the Tab Width in “Text -> Tab Width” – that is more handy too you imho.
Yeah I know that functionality, but we want to use character number limitation, it forces you to write better and clean code and blahblabhal.
In addition some coders are using netbeans and other editors, not just coda.
I am starting a new project with my team and we are defining some basic guidelines to write clean and maintainable code: charset, line endings, spaces instead of tabs, etc…
I am the designer / layout man so I will be continue using my favorite editor: Coda.
So the question is… How can I set a width limit based on number of characters to the lines of Coda?
Thanks in advice!
