The base layout is ok but it seems to lack love to detail Here are some points:
-the menu is boring, everything is just white-give feedback by highlighting the site the user is on. Also add a nice looking dropdown. Finally: put Home to the left
-black combined with gray is not the best choice. Keep the black header but make the bg color white. That dark gray makes the site and subpages look cheap
- subpages are boring. Add more graphical elements, images etc.
- the site lacks themeforest 1×1: add multiple homepage variations, post variations and add a blog with several variations as well. Contact page needs google maps integrations.
This should be a starter, hope it helps
Remember that it really takes a while to get a theme ready for themeforest. Right now the site is only 20% done I think..
A freelancer who is cheap is not a good one
Check the help section of themeforest – there you find all requirements
The design isn’t very good and the site lacks many features. In addition it is in deutsch-gotta be english for the demo though
Post your designs on sites like dribble and deviantart. Many authors successfully invest in Adwords campaigns. The Avada theme is probably marketed with several thousand dollars each month. Other top theme developers also invest tons in AdWords
But if your theme isn’t top notch all of this doesn’t matter
Hey, you need to ask him. Post in the comments section of his theme or his support forum. This is a public forum where you won’t get any support.
you are looking for a “learning management theme” Have a look:http://themeforest.net/item/academy-learning-management-theme/4169073?WT.ac=search_thumb&WT.oss_phrase=education&WT.oss_rank=6&WT.z_author=themex http://themeforest.net/item/guru-learning-management-wordpress-theme/7807232?WT.ac=search_thumb&WT.oss_phrase=learning&WT.oss_rank=3&WT.z_author=designthemes
But be warned: it’s not enough to just buy a theme! If you have no knowledge about WordPress and some coding (only a bit) you will probably want to think about hiring someone to help you out. But don’t mind – envato got you covered – it’s a money business after all: http://studio.envato.com/
when you are starting off doing webdesign don’t try to create something super creative. It sounds weird but it’s true. Before you push boundaries you have to master the current state of the art first. Take this theme for example: http://themeforest.net/item/aura-responsive-multipurpose-template-v181/7786132 it might seem like easy doing a design like that but truth is: it isn’t! Take this or any other more “common” theme on the marketplace and try building something similar – it will help you a lot learning about designing themes. Once you managed to design a beautiful “normal” theme – go ahead and do something unique.
The site you posted a link to here will not be accepted – no matter how much you change or improve on the layout. It has no focus, layout or functionality, sorry
Hope it helps a bit.
definitely an improvement. Not sure about the placement though: The “Just for you” and “Featured” items only rarely. Might be better for exploring the site to show the “New items” on top, right now I need to scroll down quiet a bit to see them.
I have opened a ticket a while ago. Then 7 days ago they “updated” my ticket with the contents of this thread. Since then no movement.
The problem still persists.
Is your support team actually forwarding these messages to the corresponding department, or do requests get lost in the mass of support requests?
Ticket (Request) ID (changed with the new system?) is 9189.
