Just a quick note, overseeing the code. Never use private statement, if you want to make this class expandable.

If somebody would want to use your class but doesn’t want to break update compatibility and extend your class, he may want to override some of your methods. But you can’t override private ones

Better use protected. Doesn’t allow access from outside but makes it expandable.

Mmmh sales have been incredible low since the price increase but this might just have other factors.

The new price structure is a big step in the right direction. Themes here are still top notch and above what other marketplaces have in stores so I don’t really see how you could go somewhere else to buy your themes…

It’s also envatos obligation as a major player in the WordPress community to make sure professionals can live from what they create, so raising the price is good news for the whole WordPress theme community.

As I said in previous posts though – we now have to do something about the frontpage! It’s crowded and new items just don’t get the attention they deserve. Maybe someone from the HQ can tell us why they chose to lower the quality standarts etc…?

Another big big step in the right direction would be to improve search. It’s really hard for me to find a theme that exactly fits my needs. In the end I only look into new ones because finding quality items that are a few months old is very hard..

We actually do not have a blog yet. This is one of our upcoming projects We use social media and pages like deviantart for placing our referral link.

Not escaped variables inside of ’ will not be parsed. You will have to escape it first

thank you very much – this is a long overdue step on ThemeForest. I think this reflects the quality of items on ThemeForest much better now. Let’s see how it affects sales and go from there.

Yes, that is how we do it. If I do remember correctly, we included both the static html files and php files into the package.

The reason themeforest doesn’t want to have includes on the basic html files is exactly what you said. Some people want to use html instead of php or shtml for their sites. Ruby or Python are just two examples. Some even still use static html websites
