I don’t think authors should be given the choice to set private/public – as people will just accept the “good” ones and leave out any negative ones
but that’s the point You don’t get good feedback if you don’t have good files…
I noticed that most of the weekly featured files have very poor sales – and those who do well did so even before they got featured. makes me think about the importance of the box on the frontpage… couldn’t we change it so it shows old files instead? (to give them a bit more exposure)
what are your thought?...
congratulations – all my wishes to you and your family!
a low three-digit amount per month
reviewers live in different time zones all across the world – often times your files get approved while a sleep
Arik for example lives in the netherlands – and he reviewed almost all of my items…
Just an automated message to buyers of your file whenever your file update is approved would be a good idea. Something like “The file “Amazing Banner Rotator” which you purchased on FlashDen has been updated by the author. Please go to your downloads tab and download the file again to get the latest update.” Maybe attached a version number to each file. So all files will default to v1.0 and when you update your file it automatically changes it to v1.1 and is displayed on file and downloads page so buyers can easily tell what the latest version is.
You could show the message on top of “recent comments” on the my account page..
I don’t think that’s a good idea – I don’t want to pay 5 bugs to get my 2 dollar item at the top spot. And if I’m not willing to pay I would probably wait 2 weeks to get my file accepted?!!
Here is what would work better: Hire an extra reviewer

don’t know – it has been normal for me in the last few days… Maybe you had an item in the popular items list that’s not there anymore?
