I hope there won’t be a big price range difference. If there isn’t then price won’t be much of a factor when choosing a theme. If price isn’t a factor, then there would be no risk in increasing all theme prices (even substantially), just as long as it’s still competitive with other theme sites.

Do any staff members have an update on this? It’s been a while since we heard anything, and three weeks since something was supposed to be posted on notes.
They’re too busy trying to get a “Meet up” in the U.S. Deep South.
Seriously, I don’t see what the hold up is here. All TF’s competing sites offer themes at much higher prices. There is no risk for losing customers if TF raises prices $5-$10 across the board. And yes, I think all existing themes should be raised equally… I feel this would not cause any loss of sales, as all themes would maintain their relative price “to each other”.
Old price: Theme 1 is priced $5 more than Theme 2.
After, say, a $10 price hike: Theme 1 is still $5 more than Theme 2.
With prices relative to each other staying the same, then nobody loses out.

I could never get it working from this thread. But then I discovered there is a BBpress plugin from Codecanyon that does just this, and does it very well: http://codecanyon.net/item/item-purchase-code-validation-bbpress-plugin/558819

I thought sending an email from my profile is a guaranteed way to get verification. Well, even if it’s not 100%, i’m sure it’s good enough in general.
That said, I personally don’t really care if someone gets a theme from me for free… it’s gonna happen no matter what, and there’s nothing I can do about it. Just as long as not even 1 second of my time is taken up with support.

I just wish they kept the Price Adjustment Tool in effect until they get this pricing thing sorted out.
I also hope that if we already adjusted a $35.00 theme to be $40.00 (via the old price adjustment tool), that it can still get priced a bit higher.

On a similar thought… do you think a theme will be priced “less” if it doesn’t include a PSD ? For a future theme I’m considering skipping the whole PSD route.

That’s funny! But it really makes it seem like they are putting priority over little things like the Bargain Basement, over more important things like a minor price increase.

This looks great, but a question: is this 1:1 support between me and a customer? So if a different customer has the same question, a new ticket must be made? Or can other users browse Ticksy and find an answer to an already answered question? (like how a forum is)

The problem is solved, thanks to my theme buyer figuring it out. My theme folder had a space in it. Via FTP he dragged the folder to the wp-content/themes/ directory. The space in the theme folder name caused the problem. He removed the space, and then re-activated the theme, and voila!
I find it hard to believe so few of my buyers have had this problem.

@unitedthemes, thanks, I’ll keep that in mind. @jonathan, there isn’t a button to reload XML . I’m sure i have a different Theme Options backend than you.
