Hi all,

I just came across a new and promising Javascript library.

It’s called myUI and can be seen here: http://my-ui.sourceforge.net/

I’ve mingled with the demos a bit and it’s amazing, you can do pretty much everything you want to, without the need to learn it’s structure.

As the author says :

“It was developed to be very easy to use and understand. Actually for most of the components you don’t even need to have JavaScript knowledge, as they actually modify the behavior of normal HTML elements in a transparent way. Usually this is achieved by marking these elements with CSS classes or custom attributes. “

I’m already implementing the slideshow feature for a customer (I got it to work like Coda-slider for example), and will be sure to use it in a WP theme release here at TF.

What do you guys think? Personally I like it because you can tweak it’s behavior pretty much how you like.

Cosmin.

Definitely an improvement.

However, allow me to say that the logo, in my opinion, still needs a little improvement.

You’re using an unnecessary drop shadow on it.

Also, I understand you want it in an orange gradient, to go with the h1 or h2 heading you got in the sidebar. That’s nice, but I think you could try and use a milder orange, as this one is too strong. Try looking at how others use orange on black, it should be quite subtle, because otherwise it vibrates.

One more thing: the bottom line of the actual posts (where you have the comments bubble) feels kinda empty. I would personally use a “Read More” link floated to the right.

So overall, I say congrats, in my opinion you only have to add minor details to it. It looks good.

Keep up the good work mate!

I think Cforms can do the job. Haven’t tested it for such purposes, but I know it’s very complex :)

Cool.

Not only is this super-useful, but it also looks very good, and feels comfortable to navigate.

Great job mate!

I’m sorry but I very much doubt that this will be accepted. The is very little sublty at all. It is very repeditive, and very little attention has been applied to typography.

true.

You’ll have to work a bit more on the details and especially on the typography.

Good luck!

I agree with you, but 90% of all design on themeforest are not unique. I will try to improve the design a little more.

Hmmm, I wouldn’t say that actually.

As far as I see, to get a design approved here, you need to come up with something special.

On the other hand, there’s usability. And with that in mind, after so many years and bilions of sites on the net, it’s almost impossible to have a unique design that’s not already similar to someone else’s.

It’s kind of confusing, but some designs just have that thingie which separates them from “the rest”, and this is the main thing I joined TF for :)

Good luck with your coding, I wish you inspiration and all the best .

TIP : for a small improvement, try using Kuler or ColourLovers for great colour schemes inspiration.

What category did you submit it in?

If you submitted to HTML Templates, then it’s a must to have a coded version.

Or did you submit it in the “PSD Templates” category and got rejected?

The design is nice and clean, IMO I wouldn’t see a reason to reject it…

Thumbs up!
