I don’t think there was something more requested by authors then updating the rating system.
A few months ago they updated it a little and they said they are doing a “brainstorming” to see how to improve it . I hope they the next update will blow our minds …

+1 for having the username of the customers that rated 1 star. And a reason.
I know that a rating like this is frustrating but is a good change it came from the competition.
And insulting customers doesn’t help. One of the key aspect of being successful on the marketplace is offering great support, especially to the people who aren’t experts (from my experience from here good ratings come). I know sometimes it gets frustrating because you get threatened with bad rating, some buyers are unreasonable, they don’t read the documentation, they expect full customizations for 10$, ... but it comes with the job and in time will not affect you so much.
The 1-2 ratings I got (around 10% from total) mostly are because of bad support, and they are deserved, but there are some (around 1/4 of them) that I got because of the reasons that make authors frustrated, and I’m 99% sure you you can’t escape them.
The reason why this was rejected:
“Your template does not provide a unique enough design with the necessary design quality, features and options to compete in the marketplace at this time. As higher quality templates become available in the marketplace, approval requirements will increase to maintain appropriate marketplace quality.”http://dopdemo.net/html/mr-goose/

I’m not sure if I should say this on the forums … but is much faster then PM each other especially @LCweb.
For me only the first week was slow. I did a google search to some of my best selling items and I saw them being offered for free. A DMCA here one there, I contacted Envato Support for a little help and sales are back up.
I always do a check when sales are low and I have a lot of requests for support from people who can’t prove they both the items on Envato.

I just woke up this morning to see that and I had only read the first page when that forum topic got deleted too. I have no idea what the next 7 pages of replies read but I’m soooooo curious to find out. I wish I could have read what they were talking about. Oh well, justice has been served (until that user creates another account pretending to be a different person trying to sell the same theme framework again… ugh)
