A lot of people here don’t have a special education. I learned it when I was about 15-16 with no help of teachers.
Same here. I found the education system with the web world is very outdated. A lot of us were coding WP way before any of the schools caught on. Now it seems the some of the graduates come to some of us for answers. Go figure.

Well my $.02 for you is pursuing clients is alot different than building for TF. Clients want what they want and it’s your job to do it. Sometimes this means making something you wouldn’t normally do to please someone else. You seem to be very successful on TF taking care of just ONE client. I knew some firms that used to turn out 200 sites a month but I counted 16 themes and 17 html items with over 1500 sales total in over a year. That’s a very nice ratio you have for just making sure one client is happy. Most clients are not like TF. lol.
Honestly, there is always a better way but you are getting a VERY large return for your time right now. Pursuing clients will change all of that because it becomes about them and they can be diverse and very demanding. If that is something you don’t mind, then by all means go for it. Find your skill and magnify it. You have some nice designs and people will ALWAYS need new and fresh designs.
I would say try it out first small to get a feel for it, if you like it then pursue it. I’m personally leaning more away from client works and more to personal projects because of the amount of time I spend working. Everyone is different so it’s really about your situations and goals but I think if you enjoy web work and you have a demand for your time, by all means you should be able to profit from it.
I hope this helps some, if any. You can keep the change.

Yes you can use the original link for this thread or this one for now: http://ncmediaweb.com/Envato/2cr.png
I m working on some details now and hope to start coding it in the next few days. This is one of my more ‘generic’ concepts but Im putting a bunch of cool effects into the theme itself. Also the items are showing grid mode and list mode if anyone was wondering.
Thanks.

Ok I updated the layout to be a bit more C.R.A.P and it did a dramatic change to the mood and flow of the layout. Hopefully this is almost at standards.

Hello, I have been reading about the new standards for unique and different files and decided to start working on a strong detailed Magento theme. I noticed there is really only one theme here and it has low sales because you can get it for free from Magento. I have alot of experience in Magento so I tried to design something that I could code into a working template.
With that being said, I needed some input on the psd concept so far. Im really trying to test my boundaries with this idea but I wanted to offer this on the marketplace once polished and coded. Im kinda feeling this out still but I want to make good themes that people will love. Im a huge fan of alot of the work here on TF, but I agree that more variety is much better overall.
Heres the link so far so any input would be great; I truly respect the level of designers here.
Thanks.
