Hello everyone,. I’ve been a user of the marketplace for some time now. I have sold and I have bought several, or maybe more than several times,. so I know this is usually asked and complained about, but this time I really think I deserve an answer.

Two week ago, or so, I uploaded a new item i spent lots of hours on. The item was a Mega Menu WordPress plugin. It was a completelly widgetized mega menu with custom widgets, nice styles, completelly integrated with WP menu system and hooks,. and still, it got rejected.

The reviewer’s reason was ‘there are too many of these on the marketplace’, and my thought was ‘ok, he must be right’. But since then, 3 new CSS nav menues, 1 new WP nav menu and 2 JS nav menues have been accepted.

So, my question is: whats the logic used on accepting certain items and rejecting others,. If it was the ‘quality’ of the item, then the reject reason should have said that. If it was ‘the massive population of similar items’, then a similar answer should have been given to the following items.

Hope someone takes the time to answer me,

Kind regards

To me it kind of looks like your rushed its ‘finished status’. You sure have something nice here, but a little more polishing would be great. The first thing that comes to mind is the abuse of white spaces and the lack of hierarchy in heading (same size as the rest of the text???).

Like leeuniverse said, some horizontal limiting lines would look cool too.

Hi r_pal, the theme looks good but i would change/add some things.

1) the search field integrated within the logo is amazing, but it would look better if you set outline:none when on-focus.

2) work a little more on the dropdown menu,. right now it does not convince me. Maybe try a lighter background for the dropdown instead of the same color as the menu.

3) Image slider : try to avoid the use of text in the image… use some kind of slider with a nice caption option instead of putting the caption in the image. It makes the text blur and plain ugly.

4) On the list of items for sale, try putting some hover effect. Maybe make the background of the item change when you move your mouse over it or something,. this will make the navigation easier to the eye.

Hope that helps,

Regards.

Im working on an old template id had in psd trying to make it look better, but my big problem is that i can’t find the right font for it. I would really appreciate some advice on what font to use for headings (h4 and h5 mostly), for no matter what i do, they never seem to convince me.

I was wondering if it is possible to delete an item and resubmit it later (after some fixes are done).

Thanks in advanced for any answer.
