Yeah but nothing happens, we all know it has been discussed many many times but with discussing things nothing gets solved.

bumping this topic, because still no reply from a dev or staff

Wondering when a developer or a staff member is going to give us some info about this topic.

The topic is just to important for us to ignore.

I know you’ll are very busy and let me tel you something your not the only one . When our themes are buggy or something doesn’t work we have to inform the buyers also and provide a better solution for this.

So please just tell us what to expect. Do you guys improve this or not?

Maybe a simple pop up demanding a clear and coherent reason from a buyer as to why they are rating 1 star? If it goes something like…

“Y DIS THEME NO WORK ? I HAVE SPENT 4 SECONDS ON IT AND HAVE DEADLINE FOR TOMORROW MORNING !!!!!!!!!!! I WANT TO PUNISH SOMEBODY FOR MY OWN INCOMPETENCE ”

... then you know that it is not a legitimate and fair rating.

Yes please because the way it is now it’s totally useless and it’s bad for sales, it’s not working for a long time now and we’ve already made tons of comments about it and nothing happens.

Well basically I’m on a point where i don’t give any support anymore, because whatever we do as an author there’s always somebody who’s a complete idiot and rates 1 start and makes the theme look bad.

These buyers don’t deserve proper support since they don’t WATCH ANY DOCUMENTATIONS

Another reason for low ratings can be that they click on 1 star by accident and can’t redo this mistake .

So Please Envato improve that rating system or remove it until it’s improved

That should be the spirit… authors should be scared to copy… it’s better to waste time to try to be original than to risk to be rejected

You absolutely have a point there. Only when somebody creates something unique then it won’t sell because all that the buyer wants is a large slider on the frontpage, 3 or 4 text blocks below the slider and a footer that looks like 70% of the themeforest footers.

And since a lot of time is spent on a theme it’s a waste of time when creating something unique and especially when you mention that “light similarities should be avoided”

When that’s the case then no theme will be accepted ever again since almost all themes on themeforest have a slight resemblance.

I think you should leave the standards up to themeforest staff and there reviewers.

Hi, i worked very hard to my new theme> 15 different skins, 3 home page sliders, an exstensive admin panel, 3 portfolio pages, a lot of shortcodes & much more. Now my theme is rejected why “This File Did Not Meet Our Criteria”. Without any suggestion, reasons, feedback. I can’t understand what type of improvement i can do for this theme.

I really appreciate any thought or feedback..please!

• 1. maybe the dropdown could use a little work
• 2. Also the images inside the slider are cut badly
• 3. Pages are to plain imho, view project buttons are broken
• 4. The footer could use some improvements
• 5. Overall typography could use a bit more attention
• 6. Remove the cforms contact form and build in a custom one
• 7. Make that call to action on the frontpage more noticeable

And the most important thing, don’t give up . Keep on bugging those reviewers with your improvements.
