Invites only come from Google and you need to sign up to throw your name in the hat.

How does one go about signing up and thus throwing one’s hypothetical name in a similarly hypothetical hat? :D

The more I use the new design the more I like it :)

+1. It really took some getting used to, but I’m starting to like it more and more.

It’s great for buyers, though. They can now pick an item and find a few to go with it. I do doubt if it’s worth the negative factors authors are experiencing because of this “feature” ;)

Since we’re on the topic of authors, check out my new username. LOL .
It’s difficult to critique a file without actually using it. Instead I think we should brainstorm how to get more buyers to rate.
I think eBay has the best rating system. After purchasing an item, there will be a new link in the buyers dashboard which will say I need to leave feedback for 1 item – Then obviously you will want to rate so you can get rid of the link off your dashboard. Pretty cool. It works.

A possible downside of this would be that people would randomly rate files, simply to get rid of that link. It sure is a tough problem, making the hasty buyers rate our items! :(

I do agree that something needs to be done about this, though!

.. some of the smiley’s seem to have tears under their eyes: :) :P :(
:)

And the :P seems to have spilled some soup rather than sticking his tongue out. Also, isn’t the tongue supposed to be ‘in the cheek’, according to the famous English saying: ‘with a tongue in the cheek’?

I suppose you do make a point, though, Lance. These smileys are extremely unobstructive with their ‘muted’ colors, while still looking quite sharp. But yeah, the soup thing really gets to me. :P

EDIT : See what I mean?! :P <— that’s not a tongue! Soup, I tell thee!

I don’t know. I’m trying to be constructive here. But who’d want to deposit $120 just to receive $3 credit? It seems a bit far fetched.

I suppose people who were going to deposit $120 either way. But yeah, I see your point, the $3 isn’t going to make a difference to the people who deposit $120..

On the other hand, it could be the psychological factor behind it all: it seems like you’re getting free money. The thought of free money motivates people to no limit ;)
