They weren’t into this idea before… maybe they will reconsider?
This is a known pricing strategy. But just because something works in other marketplaces doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the right fit for Envato. Personally, I would rather see it at .95, i.e 12.95, 3.95 etc. if they were going to go that route. Fives are easier to deal with than nines imo!
I think a separate logo marketplace could be a good thing. But they would need to sell for a more accurate value, i.e. hundreds of dollars and only be available for sale once. That’s how logos should have been handled all along.
I think the extended license is still necessary in some cases. Say I’m a web developer who’s creating a template or theme that will be sold multiple times? Normally you would have to pay a fee to use a resource in this manner, whether it’s a “tool” or not. Am I wrong in thinking this?
Why not just repackage some of your files into bundles and upload those, but still keep the individual files also? The last I knew you didn’t need permission to create bundles, although there are some guidelines you’d need to follow.
Yeah, we’re hardy folk and used to the cold weather up here. It’s these unseasonably warm conditions that are making us all sick! Feeling it myself this morning. Just in time for Christmas!
Hopefully this isn’t all a sign of Global Warming…
Excited that we are finally getting some snow here in Upstate NY! Usually we have our first snowfall by Halloween and more than enough snow to go around for Christmas. But has been surprisingly green this year.
It might be a White Christmas after all!
Seems interesting… looking forward to it!
This is all fine and dandy and I applaud the effort. However I agree that this opens the rating system up to possible abuse. Not to mention it doesn’t address the real problem, getting buyers to rate files period! Admins themselves mentioned that the majority of files go unrated. That’s the real issue that needs to be addressed imho!
Vast improvement on the buttons! And I already see the new style in place!
