By “extremely greedy” IconCream means ?ou’ll have to pay em up to 15% (which is… well… too much IMO ).
You can use any theme with plimus. You’ll have to set up their original checkout page for your products (you can customize it if you want (and I guess you do as it looks horrible) and then forward your items’ “buy” buttons there. That’s all.
Anyway be sure to read their policies and maybe even contact their support team before(!) you start doing business with them.
I would suggest ”$29logoriver” as a new name for the “site formerly known as “Graphicriver” (+ any title attached). If you know what I am saying.
I am well amazed of the fact you guys r-e-a-l-l-y think envato cares about what you consider to be “true”, “fair” etc. Remember that thread called “vector skull flood” or something like that? How much whining and smearing mucus did it take to get the staff react? And the reaction was “oh come on guys, chill out…”, right?
Life can be easier if you stop dressing envato up in a superman or Mother Teresa clothes. “I thought they were good but now I clearly see they are oh so evil…” Don’t you find this kind of talk a bit… childish? Go to wikipedia (or google, or elsewhere) read about “business processes” and such. Time to understand you are (well ok, we are) not more than assets. Yes, exactly, assets. And if you think only your items can be called assets you are just wrong. Because we are “the assets creating other assets”. And as we start demanding or calling for “fair treatment” we… scary sh…stock out of them like if they were attacked by talking tomatoes in a fridge.
No communism, no truth, no “laissez faire”. No nothing. Zillions of (sorry I can’t call it “logos”, sorry again) s-stuff looking like bad logos submitted at once? Ok. Yay! Submit yours too. Maybe you’ll get lucky. The quality barrier is so low you can make these (oops again still can’t say it) lowgos at the speed of light. And there they will stay waiting for somebody (I would put some other word here but hacking moderation I will make it “brave”, ok?)... brave enough to buy them. Or you can (and I am absolutely sure you will) also make magnificent truly unique logos and try to compete with crap flood. But please ple-ase don’t expect somebody (except your momma) to be “fair” or “true” or you-tell-what-else-fits.
Well all right obviously it’s someone’s fault. But am I too mean expecting some kind of apology? After all I am the one who loses money here (let alone it’s getting on my nerves; besides I am loosing time knocking on the dumb wall).
Not funny, quickandeasy. Well actually it is but still. I can understand almost anything: main page filled with skulls and stuff, rejects committed by those who cannot explain their reasons copy pasting like robots… But this!
Please somebody tell me what’s going on here. Is it a brainslug issue? Who made them think “Studio Icons” equals “Adult Content”?
...the reason stated is ‘adult content’.
WHAT ??? Tell me you kidding me or something. In what universe “Studio icons” are adult content? What’s exactly “adult” one can find here: http://d.pr/X3r3 (my item preview)?
1. You guys disable my file with the most weird reason one can possibly imagine. 2. I get no notice, no warning no nothing. 3. I need to wait five days till someone tells me finally my studio icons (not porn or dunno what else… Studio! Web studio! Web freakin studio icons!) are adult content.
What you think you’re doing? No, seriously.
Seriously, they respond faster via twitter.
Nope. Apparently not. Here’s me asking them 8 hours ago: http://twitter.com/#!/misha_kvakin/status/100896776386650112 No freaking answer. They keep ignoring me even there. Although they do reply to others.
I am loosing my cool, orks.
Yes soon its picture will appear on milk cartons. It’s funny and at the same time it’s not quite so.
Five days ago I noticed one of my items was missing. Let’s say one of my “strong” ones. An icon set that made 25(or even 27?) sales during its first month here. I was well upset by this… t-tragedy and decided to submit a ticket to our brilliant support team. In 20 hours I got the first (and also the last till now) answer: “Hey there, it’s X speaking. I dunno what’s going on with your item. Let me check”. This “check process” lasts… erm… three days.
Now what can I do? (I know I can 1) cry; 2) complain here; tried the first one and it doesn’t help).
There was nothing wrong with my file. It was all mine (still have all the sketches and sources and… whatever else to prove it), it was quite popular and well done (believe me; also its sales speak for themselves). Besides in case there was some… well… suspicion or something I would expect a warning or a letter or some other request/chance to give an explanation. But no nothing. It’s wiped out just like that.
Any suggestions fellow graphicfishermen?
