I’m honestly growing accustomed to it. Albeit the design is cluttered and needs refinement, the actual ease of use when switching from marketplace to marketplace and to the envato site is much easier.
Congratulations, all your hard work is paying off!
That is just amazing. Congratulations !
I hate to say it looks too crowded after all the work and reiterations you guys probably put into it, but it needs a little work I think.
Either way it is a smart move in the right direction, just needs a bit of refinement to make it feel less cluttered.
Thanks for the updates Justin!
Wow that is fantastic. Did you do most promotion through your website, or did you have any other strategies? Congrats btw!
Got a few sales. Just have to keep making new items and working hard so I can keep the momentum going!
Just wanted to update and say thanks for the suggestion. I got ScreenFlow and now the video looks smooth and perfect: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tH0CZL8meTE&feature=youtu.be
Thank you guys for the reply! I will definitely check out screenflow, that looks nice. I tried saving with quicktime, but unfortunately in powerpoint it doesn’t save the animations in the video for some stupid reason :/
Thanks slidehack, I will look into that cool idea for promotion!
Recently I have started making Powerpoint Templates.
I have struggled with a few things while working and am looking for some insight.
1. What software do you use to record your screen? (on mac)
I tried screenr and it gives me an error saying it can’t upload. I also tried quicktime, but the video is terribly glitchy and also is inverted.
2. When designing a powerpoint for multiple sizes and colors, how do you recolor it?
I recolored this slideshow by hand for every single size. Is there an easier way? Or do you just have to do each size (4:3 and 16:9) by hand?
3. Finally, now that I have a powerpoint template up, I am wondering, how do you promote/market them?
I use sites like Behance and Deviantart, but if you guys have any more tips that’d be awesome.
Any insight from any author would be sweet, maybe this could be a common thread for all powerpoint designers to add questions and/or answers?
Congratulations man. Really nice work!
