If things didn’t change that means anyone could give away our Wordpress plugins on here for free?
I stopped using Firefox when it started eating my CPU resources and cluttering memory slowing down my entire system when I did not turn my Mac off for some days but only going in standby modus (same with Thunderbird). Seems like developers created a software architecture that is not able to stand long runtimes.
I recently switched to Chrome and everything is fine even when my Mac is running for weeks without a shutdown.
Well, technically I could modify the script so it would use Envatos download servers (don’t know if that’s better in their eyes haha) instead of your own. Already tried and it’s working.
But this would be a pain for the user. He would have to enter his username, licence key and API key, kind of overkill for simple plugin updates…
This would also mean that your .zips uploaded here have to be compatible with Wordpress.
I already had the pleasure to work with him as a reviewer. It was a good experience, super fast and he answered all my questions Thanks again.
thank you for your interested in my file. Licence detection is already implemented.
Actually I really don’t know myself wich licence you have to use. Still waiting for a proper response of the Envato staff…
But since you do not resell the whole script (just the small update snippet) and the biggest part is on your server neither one of the two licences makes any sense.
Hoping to get a satisfying answer soon, Tim
PS: I will keep you up to date when clarification comes…
Hey on here at Themeforest
As unisphere suggested using the Transient API will make your updates integrate seamlessly into Wordpress’ update system.
And a big +1 to WP3 , accidentally the mentioned Codecanyon file is one of mine (makes your themes update just like in a theme downloaded from wordpress.org).
Chrome alerts me that formstack.com is a phishing website. huh?
I have to agree. Reviewers here are top
Some of my items even had a < 5 hour review time, that’s great! I just don’t like weekends when items are not moving in the queue for 2 days hehe.
Check out my new Wordpress Plugin Update Item. I think it exactly does what you want.
Next week will also be a major update with cleaned up code and Codecanyon licence checking to receive updates. Stay tuned.
