Well, I wouldn’t say that… I’m actually seeing a big difference with the themes being approved one or two years ago. There are, however, some exceptions that lack creativity, originality and all that stuff.. but TF has been seriously improved over the last years.
I don’t have any personal experience with TF but I’ve been browsing it for some time now.
No, I think you should work much more on it.
Add gradients too!
I hate to sound mean or whatever but.. What’s WRONG with you? Why do you care so much about other “basic-looking” themes are being accepted?
You should only focus on your work and improve it as much as possible, if you don’t see anything WRONG with your design at the moment.. then you should worry about that.
Again, I’m not “attacking” you, just please stop blamming others if you’re not that good… work on it. I’m pretty sure we’ll see your themes on the marketplace soon.
Have you considered the fact that those themes you call “horrible” have an amazing functionality and a lot of unique features?
I’ve been browsing ThemeForest for some time now and I’ve noticed some designs that “lack” a vissually attractive feel but those were posted on 2009!? the year TF openned…
Yea, there’s a great balance in colours. Oh and you might want to use english for the preview.
Yea, I pretty much think the same with dnp_theme.
It looks okay and clean but I don’t think it can reach .PSD’s category quality at this point.
You sure stand a nice chance if you get a nice coding on it.
This is just my opinion though. Good luck anyway!
There’s only one way to know!
I would try to improve somehow the footer and maybe the buttons on the 3 columns? I don’t think it looks very nice that they are half off and half on the white bg.
Plus, you need to fix the spacing on some elements, the designs on .PSD category have to be pixel-perfect and very visually attractive.
Hope I helped, it’s a nice theme doesn’t really require much more work. You would certainly stand more chances having it coded though…
