Giallo, in Spain where ? I moved from Italy to Spain too, but here in Ibiza is not that different from MIlan, when you get that that thing you are clicking on is a “raton”
Personally I never managed to get natural enough with a tablet, it always felt kind of weird to draw without looking at the pen.
I guess that a lot depends of how long you have been used to something if you are trying to adapt to something new. My 2 years old son draws on the iPad and moves from one game to the other way more naturally than he moves from a fork to a spoon, and he is also disappointed when he touches a screen and nothing happens
Thanks Envato for this opportunity, it was a pleasure. Looking forward for more. Just suggestion for the next one: a “pre-announcement” a couple of days before the contest without revealing the topic, so we can get some sleep before the rush
The job of the reviewers is crucial. Personally I had very good “rejections ” from PatrikL. He rejected my works a few times but every time his explanations were very well detailed and helped me to improve the item a lot and mostly he is consistent in his suggestions and this was very important in helping me to tune my works on the quality standards required.
Unfortunately, at least in my short experience as an author, the lack of consistency between reviewers is the other side of the coin of the reviewing process. For example a few days ago a flyer of mine got soft rejected because I named “logo” one of the layers inside the .psd file ( not in the preview images or in the thumbnail ). I was surprised to receive a rejection for such a small detail but in the same time a appreciated a lot the work of the reviewer who took care of analyzing my item so deeply. The problem is that I see several items approved in which the word “Logo” is very well visible in the preview images.
This is not a complaint, I’m sure that all the reviewers are doing their best in such a challenging task, is just a simple example that shows how the lack of consistency could be misleading for an author.
Thanks chrisatlemon, I’m going to check via Twitter for the future, meanwhile the support center answered me ( congrats to them because this time it was fast ) saying that they solved the issue with the account of the “client”.
Hi, I just received this e-mail from my profile from a potential client :
“Flyer: Tri-Tech Corporate Flyer I’m trying desperately to buy this flyer and the envato system is stopping me via the email verification. I’ve filled out support tickets, posted on Twitter. Is there any other way to do this? I’m on a deadline….”
I also just opened a ticket in the support center, but considering that the last 2 tickets that I opened took almost one week to have an answer I don’t think that it can help in this particular case. Any suggestion on how I could help him ?
I agree with quikandeasy, it is misleading. Technically some flyers could be easily magnified as long as the resolution of the images allows it, but still the project in terms of readability, font choices etc is completely different for an A5 or for an A1.
Now only 2 left. When the contest started there were 88 flyers in “corporate” now 126
This is our main workstation, when we are allowed to use it
2 in the queue since yesterday, now just to get past the review
mudi saidI took a peek at their website, and I have to say I don’t think they stand a real chance against Photoshop. First of all, Photoshop has been around for 23 years, companies have come to trust Adobe and will likely not change their software for another company’s. Second, aside from a better looking UI, they don’t really bring anything new to the table. No features to stand out, no improvements worth mentioning, nothing to set it aside from Photoshop or other Adobe products.
A new competitor has came which is Pixelmator
I agree with you, I downloaded the try version and I took a look, it is interesting for newcomers and amateurs because is surely more intuitive than photoshop and the UI is very nice and simple, but for a professional there is no comparison at all.
It’s a shame, I’d love to leave Adobe sfws because I find their UI everything but user-friendly, and also because a few years ago they “killed” my beloved “Freehand”, the best vectorial sftw ever
