That’s awesome! Hope it goes viral too, great exposure for all the authors. Congratulations on them using two of your songs! Greg :)

Thanks! Yeah, it was a fun video to watch.

Now that I think about it more, use of infinite scrolling would only be measurably beneficial for certain marketplaces. Perhaps infinite scrolling is best for marketplaces like AudioJungle and PhotoDune only.

I suppose I’m especially thinking from an AudioJungle author’s perspective where:

1. The buyer is not always looking for something entirely specific (For a video editor, you may not know what you are looking for until you hear it. You hear something on page 1 and you think that’s it, though something on page 3 might be closer but you wouldn’t know cuz you already got the other one in your head and don’t want to waste any more time looking). I’ve monitored page views of songs on page 1 versus songs on page 2 and the drop-off is tremendous!

and

2. You may need to purchase several items for one project (video or whatever)... so ease and speed are helpful. Therefore, infinite scrolling is helpful for AJ and PhotoDune, where you may need to purchase several items for one project and need ease and speed on your side.

For the other marketplaces, the buyer most likely already has in their mind what they’re looking for and is willing to page through it to find it.

Thanks for your perspectives! :)

This week has been the slowest week in weeks. Hope I’m not the only one. I’m blaming it on summer vacation in the United States. :bigwink:

I know how they annoy some people, but in a marketplace setting, I would think they would be useful to buyers.

On the Envato Marketplaces, when you reach the bottom of a page of search results, the next page should appear! Google and Facebook newsfeed both display their results through infinite scroll. When I’m looking for something on the Envato Marketplaces, I hardly go past page 2 before I try a different search term. But over and over again I find myself scrolling into infinity on Google or Facebook. This would give those authors without page 1 or 2 search results more chances for sales, as well as more ease to the buyer. Maybe the Devs are already on it. Seems like an obvious update to me.

+1 if you agree!

Still not sure why a complex stinger is worth less because it doesn’t have musical content. It doesnt make sense,
It’s not hard to add simple musical content. Give it a try.
I know it isn’t but in this instance I don’t want musical content.

Right… but you were saying you wanted a higher-priced item and that is what you have to do.

Guess you’ll have to settle for the price you’ve been given for this item, then. Good luck!
