Cannot redeclare wp_pagenavi()

Turn off the wp_pagenavi plugin (or delete the plugin files via FTP if you can’t access your wp-admin), seems the theme has included with wp_pagenavi function

..In the end, over all this, what worries me too much is that now everyone will be able to use parts of our theme as plugins. And use these plugins with themes created by someone else. So why would someone purchase more themes from us, if they have all the functionallity already. They can go now and download free themes and use use our plugins to create the site they want, plus they have free updates for our plugins. Hmm, this is awesome, for somebody, but not for me as theme developer.

Absolutely!

A little something to think about … What do the buyers want?

Is every buyer a full time or part time web dev? Absolutely not, in fact from what we’ve experienced I’d be confident in saying at least 50% of our users are Tom, Dick and Harry building their website for their own local business.

They want an all in one package, and that’s why they bought a theme from Themeforest.

Sad but true, these WP guys cannot understand that we build custom WP theme here. Seems they push us to providing theme that can work for any type of business. First GPL problem, now this new requirements, what next ? “We will move all your themes into wp.org theme repository” :D

There’s one distinction to be made here: WP.org plugins are public, available to anyone, anywhere and essentially optional. You can choose to use them, or ignore them as you please. This is the essence of a plugin, which cannot be a requirement.

..Do you believe your customers will only use a ThemeForest theme and its bundled plugins, without any plugins from wp.org? And that plugins bought from CodeCanyon will only be used with ThemeForest themes, and not themes from wp.org?

What is the problem with that? the point is we make “custom” wp theme here at themeforest, we can’t guarantee that all free and/or premium plugins will work nicely with our theme (except the ones that clearly state in the item description). Most of people bought premium themes for business, and if they want to add more features from any plugins – they need to modify the plugins or the theme to make it 100% compatible.

After read this thread, it seems authors is pushed to create “twentyeleven like” theme, and all unique features will rely on plugins. Why would user bought themes from TF if they can have same quality+features from themes that listed on wp.org. Be careful envato, WP is the biggest part of this marketplace – you should think twice before officially changes the “rules” on this category.

BTW thumb up for more cleaner js and php code requirements

3 accounts :D

1 – elite author > 5000 sales ( will be active again soon )
2 – partnership account ( 50-50 ), designer only want the money – start create another design 4 month after the first theme released, never help me answering support question (even pre-sales questions) – not productive at all!!! Coding, fix the bugs, manage support all done by me. Delete the theme, never logged-in again into the account, and say good-bye into the designer. :D
3 – This account,
