You’ll mostly find that, things of same value in different countries, more often than not, when currencies are converted, are SOLD for the same relative value. Something that costs £100 in the uk may be $160 in the us, especially with globally available products ( excluding adobe of course)
I take back my above comment, It was a half arsed effort at an argument when i was almost falling asleep, my apologies. I agree with everyone’s comment’s, i even slightly disagree with the second point i made in my original argument
But i still stick completely by my first point!

In my opinion i don’t think this is a good idea at all, and i have a few reasons why: ( sorry if they come accross as a bit rash, just trying to be as clear as possible
)
- If we were to go the Multiple currencies / different currencies per author route, it would cause lots of confusion. A buyer will be on one page and it will be $s, then go to another item and suddenly its in £s. Accounts have a single balance, in a single currency. If you start taking different amounts out depending on the currency… it’s just not gonna be clear. Plus people may end up buying items for £X when they thought it was $X and end up paying almost twice as much! Different currencies for different parts of a site is not a good idea by any means, can you name one website that implements this? (not talking about buyer geolocation / multiple regional versions of a site)
- Disregarding the multi-currencies idea, and assuming we go with an idea which gives people in higher exchange-rate areas higher prices for their items. I… i just don’t understand how this could ever be a good idea… You’re basically saying, i’m from this place, which has a more valuable currency than this guy, we sell the same thing, but i get paid more because my currency is of more value… and that’s it? That’s not how global marketplaces work, or will ever work. You sell something in a currency, and things of the same value get sold for the same amount… end of story.

Now what I don’t get is how $5 worth less to you then to me? I know that 5 EURO worth more then $5 but how $5 worth less then $5?

I think it would be best that if you would like to discuss the issues regarding the potential banning of custom frames, that you continue it in the original thread: http://themeforest.net/forums/thread/custom-iframe-header-bar-no-longer-permitted/61498?page=1 which i have moved to all marketplaces.
Feel free to continue discussing whether it is advisable for you to use this method in this thread, or request for a moderator to lock it!

RewriteEngine On
RewriteRule ^([a-zA-Z0-9_-]+)$ ./?q=$1 [QSA]
RewriteRule ^([a-zA-Z0-9_-]+)/$ ./?q=$1 [QSA]
That should work
