Ok so I’ve changed the image resize in the PHP format to:

$img = vt_resize( $thumbnail,’’ , 99999, 550, true );

I’ve changed the slider style in my main CSS style to:

slider {

width: 100%; background: #fff; margin-bottom: 20px; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-left: 0px; }

nivo-homepage-content {

width: auto; overflow: none;

And I’ve changed the style in the Nivo slider style to:

slider {

position: relative; width: 100%; /* Change this to your images width / height: 550px; / Change this to your images height */ } #slider img { position:absolute; top:0px; left:0px; display:none;

When I do this the image reverts to its original size of pixels and extends way to far across the page.

Where should I change this to have the image auto fit the entire width of the page with a height of only 550px?

Ok so I’m wanting to create a theme with the first part of the page being a slideshow that stretches across the entire width of the page but only about 550px in height. Here is an example: http://www.thunderbuddies4life.com/glisseo/

This is how my slider looks on the coded page(the image resize is set to 1600, I’ve tried changing to 99999 but that does not work):

<!- Start slider -> <?php if (have_posts()) : while (have_posts()) : the_post(); $cg_slider_cat = get_post_meta(get_the_id(), ‘cg_slider_cat’, true); endwhile; endif; ?> <?php $paged = (get_query_var(‘paged’)) ? get_query_var(‘paged’) : 1; $query = array( ‘post_type’ => ‘slider’, ‘taxonomy’ => ‘Categories’, ‘term’ => $cg_slider_cat, ‘paged’ => $paged, ‘orderby’ => ‘menu_order’, ‘order’ => ‘ASC’, ‘posts_per_page’ => -1 ); query_posts($query); if (have_posts()) : while (have_posts()) : the_post(); $nivo_link_url = get_post_meta(get_the_id(), ‘nivo_link_url’, true); $nivo_lightbox = get_post_meta(get_the_id(), ‘nivo_lightbox’, true); $nivo_caption = get_post_meta(get_the_id(), ‘nivo_caption’, true); if(has_post_thumbnail()) { /* Get and resize post thumbnail / $thumbnail = get_post_thumbnail_id(); $img = vt_resize( $thumbnail,’’ , 1600, 550, true ); if($nivo_link_url != ”” && $nivo_lightbox == “n”) { echo ‘’; } elseif($nivo_link_url != ”” && $nivo_lightbox == “y”) { echo ‘’; } echo ‘’; if($nivo_link_url != ””) { echo ‘’; } } endwhile; endif; wp_reset_query(); ?> <!- End Slider ->

Here is the styling that I currently have made(I changed the width to 100% biut it still is not stretching to fit the screen):

/

slider {

position: relative; width: 100%; /

Change this to your images width / height: 550px; / Change this to your images height */

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I placed it inside the “wp-content/themes” folder and activated it in the themes via WordPress but its still displaying all the posts and menus that display when the “twenty ten” or “twenty eleven” theme was activated. The website is now displayed correctly so I know that the file is being read but the entire content of the page now is that of the WordPress “twenty eleven/twenty ten” themes. Thank you for the help.

Do I manually change this content and insert my own images/menus/content through the WordPress dashboard?

Thank you I did that and it finally began to run the PHP script, but now it looks like when I try to adjust it via WordPress, it looks like the themes that are already inside the wp-content/themes folder, Cleancut was a design that my friend made and should look like this: http://themeforest.net/item/cleancut-corporate-portfolio-wordpress-theme/full_screen_preview/2866566

but instead it looks like the twenty eleven and twenty ten wordpress test sites with parent page and child page in the menu and test-site as the logo not cleancut.

I have installed the Wamp server onto my laptop which says that it includes Apache, PHP , and MySQL in it. Do I need to place the folder containing my website into the “Your Projects” section because I downloaded a WordPress pre-made website and placed it into that and it runs perfectly, but when I placed another folder, with a website formatted with PHP and WordPress, into the “Your Projects” section and ran it a “Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_header() in C:\wamp\www\cleancut\index.php on line 1” shows up.

Hey I am looking for some help, I’ve created almost a complete html web page and finished about 90% of my css; I am trying to learn how to format PHP into my html design. When I try to run any kind of PHP script onto my computer it doesnt seem to show up, when I select the webpage with the PHP script inside it, it only displays on the web as code itself. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I’ll send anyone the code that feels like they can help as well.

I cannot figure out where in the coding to change out the pictures. Can someone look at the coding that I have and tell me what section in the code I can change to input my own images? Anything would be greatly appreciated.

Hey I am trying to change the images on my background slider for my website. I placed the supersized slider in my .html code and .css code but I dont know where to place the images I want in the slideshow. So far my .html coding looks like this:

<head> <script type=”text/javascript” src=”js/query.js”></script> <script type=”text/javascript” src=”js/timothy.js”></script> $(window).load(function() { $(’.flexslider’).flexslider({ animation: “slide” }); }) </script>
