... and also make margins consistent.
@revaxarts, I didn’t say that private repositories aren’t allowed – they are. I was asking just just about public reps.
This copy-pasting of purchase code to register on support forums is ridiculous and confusing for many buyers, especially at first time.
Please create OAuth login system, so we can register the buyers on our support forums and check if they purchased an item in one click.
So I finally got an answer from Envato support, turns out that you can’t host the code in public GitHub repository no matter if you choose 100% GPL or not, as it violates Exclusive Author agreement. Pitty.
Let’s assume and that I’m an Exclusive Author and I choose 100% GPL. Can I put my script on a public GitHub repository (if link to it is provided only after purchase)? If answer is “yes”, can I put it there without choosing 100% GPL?
(I’m asking this on forum, instead of private ticket to Envato support, as others might be interested in answer)
Ideally, Envato should create OAuth Single-Sign-On login system (just the one that Facebook, GitHub e.t.c have), so we’ll be able to login the buyer to support forum and verify the purchase without this confusing “purchase code” story.
It’s not a secret that supporting through comments is a mess, if item is popular.
