I fixed this by disabling the DirectWrite engine. More info here: http://themeforest.net/forums/thread/new-google-chrome-font-rendering-improvements/140455#1105928

In your place I would not change the username nor the avatar. So many people here know you as @webdesignerart, an you got the respect from them, changing the username you will be like a new member here. :)

This is a pretty hard to follow topic and before adding my own input, I wanted to take the time and digest the whole state of the marketplace today. Not saying that my views are those of everyone here. They are mine and the people I collaborate with and represent our views on which I noticed to find common ground with many other authors. I wrote them down in a post on Medium which I’d like to share with you the authors, Envato staff and whoever else would like to have a read (8 min read according to Medium)

An Open Letter to Envato – An author’s views on current and forthcoming marketplace issues.

Thank you for taking the time to read through and looking forward to reactions.

Regards, Alex

Well said. Totally agreed, recomended and shared.

I love Envato, I always felt like here is a freedom and an awesome community, but if it will continue to ignore us(the “engine” of this market), this place will die shortly.

It’s not a secret, that Envato has competitors and it’s also not a secret that those competitors has better conversion rates, more freedom and control. I see many authors are migrating one by one slowly to other marketplaces. That’s because you(Envato) are not listening the community and treat us like your employers, not like people who, actually, brings money in your bank account.

As a final note, I want to say that the only persons who works here are the authors, Envato just make CSS changes, nothing more.

I have disabled it because I can’t read the font, it’s irritating for my eyes. Here is how I did it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I21iWXzE6U8

In the latest stable version, G.Chrome has done some improvements for the font rendering. They think it looks better ow, but I think it is not. It is blurry and is not readable.

The only benefit is that FontAwesome looks awesome now. :D

What about you?

And looks like the font-family and color has been changed also. It’s not readable. :|

Edit: Ooops, the font family and color are browser changes. Sorry. http://googlechromereleases.blogspot.com/2014/08/stable-channel-update_26.html

Looks like Google Chrome fixed the font rendering, but still it is not very good if you ask me. It looks a bit blured.

Sorry for offtopic.

I know and I remember that I’ve read somewhere on licenses page(can’t find it now) that a HTML template and a CMS theme are 2 totally diferent items. So selling the HTML or WP version here on Themeforest and the version for other CMS’s outside Envato network is allowed, because they are totally diferent items.
