1. Do I include a fade in/out version of the track?
2. Do I include different timings of tracks, like a 30s, 1m, 5m etc. version?
Good thread here for everyone
Well, this point has been discussed a few times, and my personal experience ( on AJ and from some post-production people i know ) is, that its allways good to have a main track which shows that it is the sound the customer is looking for. Then it is very usefull if they have like a mainpart to loop and a intro and outro ( not just fade in and out the mainlooop, they can do that on their own ). But on the other hand, most of the times they have all the videofoootages prepared which they will need / use for the project, searching for the needed soundtrack and cut and arrange the videos to match it. Time is money
Be aware, that AJ does not accept tracks teared appart to every single instrument audiotrack / layer, as this makes not much sense for the regular customer and would more be like a sample package ( which we will maybe see oneday as a new category here on AJ ).
Have a great day everyone
I have a question regarding the license (cc)
When I simply want to use a song for instance behind my video (preview and in the actual project) then I need the file to be licensed as “use for commercial purposes” but not as “modify, adapt, or build upon” ?!
Or simpler: Does this count as “modify, adapt, or build upon” when I use a song (for commercial use) behind my video? I mean, you create something new with the help of this song. Thats why I am not sure.
Thanks in advance and best regards.Phil
If you use a complete song which you do not alter, it’s probably best practice if you just use it in your preview file and clearly state in the description, that it is NOT included, but that you could provide the necessary information for your customers where they could buy the song.
Well, if it’s just for the cost’s … buy a Casio all in one workstation and you’re done with 200Quid
Ableton … yep – this is great idea, however … I can’t imagine to perform looking like someone who checking his emials
Why this ? You only need the screen of the laptop somewhere on your table. You will have to use some of the following hardware to play with :
And so on …. you will NOT look like checking your emails … no need to use your mouse.
I only can tell about the MPC . It’s a great and intitutive piece of hardware which will allow you to use it allmost for any kind of live performance.
My experience is, that if you play in clubs and / or other places where you wont have much light and had allready a few beers, it will be hard to work with the small display. As Dejans allready stated, maybe you should have a look into other products as well. I would never go on stage ( for my kind of music ) without a confident way to see everything in one view ( mixer, tracks, fx etc. ). One thing you sure allready know is Ableton Live, not a perfect Midi sequencer to work with, but THE BEST solution to use it for liveperformance and together with a cheap laptop easy to carry around
I think youre website is very well done, no need to be a webdesigner Also the music i like, maybe we should try to do a track together once as i’m working also on a new album
If you want, you can check out some of my music under http://www.soniccube.ch

Well said, Sound_Division! You’re in very good hands with Adrien, Andy, Claudiu, Liam and Stefan: The AudioJungle “Dream Team”.
I’m also impressed by the increase of approvements during the last few weeks. I think Adrien for example have been in front of his computer 24/7 and still found time to write some nice comments within the approval email which is realy motivating and saved my day a few times
Thanks everyone not only for your work, but also for keeping this positive feel to the community
