I agree with this too, Kiwi’s theme is awesome and should be at least $45-50.

Try this (not tested)

<?php

$custom_sb = $mp_option['example_sidebar']['footer_' .$page_id];
$custom_sb_id = get_the_title($page_id).' Footer';

if($custom_sb == 'on' && dynamic_sidebar($custom_sb_id) ) : elseif(dynamic_sidebar('Main Footer') ) : else :

?>

<!-- example widgets -->

The current stable version on Github now has this Backup & Restore option added to it. If you want to try it out make sure to read this thread https://github.com/sy4mil/Options-Framework/issues/12

Cheers

Given the troll-ish nature of this thread, that was hardly.

If you are going to hold a contest next time, at least make it look like a contest because this looks more like a scam to quickly increase the number of your twitter followers.

Are all dribbble contests like this? They told us to follow on twitter and send us shots – then disappear.

If I’m not mistaken WP will keep the widgets from the last theme as long as the ‘id’ is not used by another theme you’re activating. You don’t need 3.3 for this functionality.

You can’t however ‘export’ your current widgets onto another sidebar with different id’s on another theme, if that makes sense.

Probably not. I see some issues with this. For example, there’s no way to upgrade to a higher priced version which isn’t helpful for customers. Also it splits the sales making it harder to get on the top sellers list which can help with exposure and increasing sales.

Fair points.

Thank you for the explanation Parallelus. I can imagine that you might have answered similar questions like this many times before, so apologies for that.

However I do have another curiosity – If you can offer your theme at a slightly cheaper price for the WP version and slightly more for the WP+BP theme, considering that the cheaper one would appeal to the customers who only wanted the WP version – would you consider doing it that way?

Is it possible to make BP themes as a stand-alone or an add-on to an already available theme? Sometimes customers might want just the core WP theme without the additional theme for BP. This will save some headaches especially if we do not want to mess with a lot of options.
