Very nice. I like the minimalism. Unfortunately, I think it’s too much similiar to premiumpixels.com. I don’t mean just that the theme has the same purpose, but absolutely same style, typography, ... only few things are different and not unique either.

The only thing similar is the way the resources are layed out, and the alert bar. That typography is extremely popular. Look around the web, or even here. There are thousands of sites that use Helvetica for all the typography. That’s not even close to being PremiumPixels specific. As for the style: Duh it’s similar. It’s minimalistic. That’s the whole point. I’m a minimalist designer.

Besides what I pointed out, there is absolutely nothing similar to PremiumPixels other than the purpose.

Yep, total premiumpixels clone….

I could make a clone if you’d like. All I would have to do is change the P, the name, and the color scheme. Voila, cloned. No, this is not a clone. It’s the the same minimalistic style, but no where near a clone.

I am a bit lost in here, you need to add borders/dividers/visual containers/whatyouwant to separate things. Actually to me it feels empty and unorganized.

Thanks!

I had a few borders here and there but they were really light and probably hard to see. I added a border to separate the main content and the sidebar, and I made most of the separating borders darker.

Let me know what you think now. http://themes.joshriser.com/?theme=resourceful

Hey everyone! It’s been a while since I posted. I have been working on a new theme that’s going to be for Wordpress. I might submit it as an HTML template first. It’s going to be a theme for a resource site (I.E. A site that gives away design resources, like Premium Pixels).

You can view a demo of what I have here. http://themes.joshriser.com/

Let me know what you think!

Hey everyone.

I was wondering how to make a PHP /Iframe theme switcher like the one here?

I sort of made my own but it’s probably the worst way to do it. I saw another site that had their themes in a demo like that. Is there any good way to do it, or even a tutorial?

Thanks, ~Josh

(P.S. Sorry if this is the wrong section. Mods feel free to move it!)

text-shadow: 1px 1px 0 #fff;

I saw this tip on another site, it adds a shadow that makes the text somehow look lighter.

Hope this helps, Josh

Submenu works fine, but I can’t see images in slider. Johnny

I fixed the submenu (The problem was in IE). I also saw this problem in IE and FF. Fixed it in IE but still working on FF. Any other suggestions on how to improve or any other bug reports would be great! Also, I fixed almost all of the issues Themeskingdom pointed out.

Odd, works fine for me at any speed. What browser are you running it in?

- Tabs shortcode looks unfinished (you have some gap between tabs) Chome/Mac

Okay, I will work on making the tabs look better. Does anyone else have any problems with the sub menus?

- Use left aligned text instead of justified
- Pay attention to white spaces
- Put image and comment in one line (Recent comments widget)
- Add copyright section
- Tabs shortcode looks unfinished (you have some gap between tabs) Chome/Mac
- Solve problem with sub menu

Hope this will help you… :)

Kind Regards,
