We cannot put a date on any tweaks or updates because there’s many other projects in the works that require our attention, but that also doesn’t mean that we’re closing the door on this project.

We know you have plenty of work, but I hope this will be one of your priorities. It is essential for us to have a professional looking profile page, and right now – with all due respect, our profile pages doesn’t look good. I agree with everyone else – these badges are too childish and don’t fit well on this market. Thanks.

I agree totally. I would hesitate to show someone my Envato page now, because I fear that they would think I’m spending time on something childish or silly. I think these badges just don’t really match the tone of the rest of the visuals on the marketplaces.

I was confused by the title. Pinzebra is a womens underwear company in Germany.

Congrats on the achievement. :D Oh well this will help stop some of the spam followers who basically follow every author on here, in a hope they will get more exposure from people seeing their avatar I guess. 2000 is still a lot more than anyone will need to follow for any sensible reasons. :D

Just reminding everyone that if we want to be heard regarding the new badges, it’s also a good idea to fill that short survey at: http://themeforest.net/community/badges

Cheers, filled it in. :)

I think we should give up. Community never wins against the staff… :)

If the badges stay as they are, I’ll agree you’re right. :P

With this and the badgepocalypse, it’s the worst Envato birthday ever. :(

Just adding my voice to say that I find these badges really very bad looking. I miss the coloured paws. I’m open to changes if they are well done, but these ones look badly designed and unprofessional, and I think they have gone too childish / cartoonish with the style. I would much prefer a more straightforward re design of the existing concept.

So when does it end exactly, EU time? Cheers..

Early hours of tomorrow morning. About 3 o clock British time I think.

Apogee Quartet

Good to see Apogee have moved into audio, but I preferred their 1990s video games. :P

I agree with most here that the trending feature is cool, except too much focus on popular files. The original idea was to boost exposure to newer files due to the increasing amount of new content submitted and reduced home page time.

The word “trend” itself means something “new and currently popular”.. so it defeats the purpose also showing top sellers as trending files. These should be in separate category called “Popular”.

We need to differentiate more between popular files.. and new files that are currently popular. Therefore the trending feature must be based on a limited time period. So the result is a “trending item” is a forerunner to a “popular item”.

The 3 life stages of an item should be “new” then “trending” then “popular”. The “trending” feature sole purpose is to help a new item become popular.

Maybe a possible solution would be when a file has a certain amount of sales it doesn’t show up as trending any more, like 100 sales or something. Or it could incrementally get more difficult for it to qualify as trending as its sales total becomes higher.
