we can confirm this issue. Something has changed within the last 24 hours.
anyone else experiencing issues with the built in statementer since last few hours?
btw your sales dropped mostly because it’s weekend/monday, it’s the worst day of the week, at least for me, been the same for months now. Already got used to it
Interesting , for us Monday / Tuesday became the best days of the week since we started here at themeforest but it has a very slow start.
I can understand, but if you do a search you will find that there is more than 1, so complaining about the other author is a little redundant due to the fact you are not the first with the name http://themeforest.net/search?WT.ac=hub_search&term=Brooklyn I can understand that you are disappointed, because of the time scale but the fact you are saying its unique is not true in the slightest because 4 people came before.
Particularly correct, it was 1 before and it’s release is one year ago and not 4 days. However the intention of our thread was not to claim the unique right to use the word Brooklyn , it’s more the disappointment that there is an item with the same name on the same front page. And everyone knows how important the first days on the front page are for a new theme… And when reading the comments, there is some kind of confirmation that people are confused.
thanks for the feedback guys, we opened a ticket already (it was the first thing we have made this morning), if someone of the envato staff reads this thread, this is the ticket number: #JOM-310-47153
The last thing we want is that an item gets disabled. We are doing this job here as a full time job as many other do, some people might use themeforest to get a better pocket money. And getting disabled is to hard in this case.
The most annoying thing is , that our sales totally dropped in meantime since the other theme was released. The other theme did not took any advantage out of it’s naming but it seems like it’s affecting our sales in some way we can’t explain and this is very very frustrating.
To make it even worse… We ended up on the Popular Lists right next to each other. This was very frustrating for us and I can imagine that the author from the other Raw theme felt the same.
Looks like we are talking about the same author in this case
I don’t think claiming names for themes is a good idea but I do share your frustration with the problem. We would run out of good names in no time.
I agree with you in this point, so maybe adding a time driven block would be a solution. It cannot be that there are 2 items inside the WordPress front page section with the same name.
we are pretty sure this topic has already been discussed in the past, but due to the last WordPress submissions, we would like to bring this topic back into the people minds.
Some Background Information: About 2 month ago we released a HTML Template which made a decent number of sales and people started to ask for a WordPress Version via PM, Email and comment section. We really had lot’s of people asking for this WP Version. So we put all our efforts in this project.
About 4 days ago, after a horrible review queue of 6 days our WP Version was added to themeforest and started to make good sales from the very first moment.
Just a few minutes ago, a new WP theme has been released which holds nearly the exact name we used for our latest submission only “4” days ago.
And now, when reading the comment section of the foreign theme, people start thinking that this is the WP Version they have been waiting.
Brooklyn WP , WOOOW , GLWS
What if a customer waited for the WP Release, joins the start page at themeforest today, recognizes the theme has finally arrived, but then has to determine that it does not look as expected and purchases a different theme? This may sound a bit exaggerated in this case, but is definitely possible.
I mean if we now make a business one page theme and call it “Avada | Responsive One Page Theme” , what would be the result? Despite the fact that people from ThemeFusion are getting f* up?
Wouldn’t it be nicer to have a clean naming policy here at themeforest? Please share your thoughts.
anyone else experiencing issues with the statementer in last few hours? When I try to choose a special statement, for example “today” I’ll be forwarded to an error page.
