Hey there,

I’ve just finished an art course in college and for the last 3-4 years I’ve been designing websites, logos and a few other things, majority of the paid work I’ve received has been freelancing and nothing long term till now.

There’s a long term design job that I may be taking soon and I’ve just got a few questions for you guys; so hopefully you’ll be able to help me out.

The job will most likely include the following; Website design, Logo design, iPhone design (Perhaps other platforms too), and some HTML /CSS/jQuery coding (Maybe more languages, not entirely sure yet).

So, my first question and only question for now is, what do you think I should get paid per hour?

I’m honestly not sure, I’ve got an estimate on what I should get paid but I’d like to have you’re opinion as well.

Even when it came out it wasn’t a good browser.

Compared to what was available back then it was a super modern high end browser

That doesn’t make it a good browser, it just makes it better than what was available at the time. It like saying those huge 80s mobile phones were good because they were better than the competition. If it was a good browser it wouldn’t have aged so horrifically.

Thats like saying todays Adobe Photoshop CS5 sucks, Because in 10 years time they’ll bring something way better out.

I think you should really study this and practice a bit before submitting here.

If you were a plumber, that would sound as if you don’t know what a pipe is. There are some fundamental principles in webdesign that we should all know before we enter the stage where we create graphics.

That said with the best feelings and intention of helping you, let me give you some links:

I’d also add that you need to make some research for the topic of contrast.

Btw. You might want to shoot for the HTML /CSS category. From what I have heard, it is a lot easier to get into.

Once I’m finished with Xion to my liking, and if it still doesn’t make it in, I’ll ether make it a free .PSD or, I will submit it to another Marketplace. But i agree with the other person in the first posty, If i submitted it now it wouldn’t get in, and i also know what changes i need to make. (:

- I will be messing around with that part tomorrow, I’ll see how it turns out.

- I will be changing the Blue-ish color tomorrow, But the cyan/aqua will stay.

- To me, It’s a bit long, if anything, it’ll be shortened.

- I might do that for the other pages.

- I couldn’t think of anything else there to put at the time, But since then, I have some ideas…

Its nearly 7 PM here, I’m going to go play so MW2 and then sleep on it.

The things that i will change/add is, The light blue at the bottom of most elements, Adding a submit button, redesigning the 3 columns icons, and changing the 3 columns section to make it more reader-friendly, i will also be changing the drop down menu a bit.

I’ll update this thread tomorrow with my changes.

- I’m rethinking the 3 columns as well, I noticed it before but i’m currently coming up with ideas with how i can change it. (Something will be changed there.)

- Everyone is different, and i think thats something that people will ether hate or love. (I will fix this tomorrow, I didn’t realize that till you pointed it out, Thanks.)

- Oh my god… I missed that… (I’ll have this fixed tomorrow or the next day.)

Hi, Within the next few days I’ll be submitting my first Xion .PSD Template. I’ve only finished the first page. (Homepage) Seeing as how I’ve read that getting in the PSD Template section is the hardest out of all the sections, I’m asking you, the community, to give me your opinions and feedback on my Xion .PSD Template.
