I have been thinking the same too quite for a while now but seriously i,m not really sure that i need it so bad , but from my point of view i see users coming here and finding ENVATO and all us authors and our files, so if you will have your own website they will find YOU directly so that means that if the traffic good you will get more exposure for your items .
Conclusion : If you are willing to work with advertising and marketing also improving your site to be found, it could be a really good idea but will it pay off you will see as you go along . ( The bad thing is time consumption ) unless someone else will do that for you
Well deserved ! And even more well said good luck with another thousand !
Hello i didin’t read the full thread here but i want to add one point wich is quite easy to improve and which is i think very important for the whole comunity .
So i see the problem here : Lately i have seen some people uploading files which were very well designed and for some of them files got disabled immediatly after some “Report” of other user… And after that enabled again… So i want to ask Envato please dont just ban, or disable items before not knowing is the report a real deal … because this does a lot of harm to the authors make sure you ask evidence from the user who is claiming some reports on it BEFORE MAKING ACTION because sometimes it is very sad to see that you push author to the side instead of the customer… who is maybe just fooling around… because most of the authors build theyr portfolio for quite a long time and do they have to be treated like this because of one “Arogant” user who gives no proof ?
As i see it i think its possiblle to sabotage the account of user you don’t really like and since envato has a lot of authors it seems like they don’t realy care about it by disabling items after sometime bringing them back like saying hey we are sorry… but it shouldint be happening in the first place .
I hope you guys will get the idea . And keep it up growing !
Yes that makes sense i have faced the same thing by my self . But i,m interested in what terms does the Mac Os affect the workflow with AE or its just more stable and thats it .. ? Or it has some outside features which helps to improve workflow .
graphic4444 saidI use to feel this exact same way until I took a job 6 or 7 years ago where I was forced to use a mac at work. After a month of working on a mac my opinion completely did a 180 and I can only see myself buying apple computers to work on.
i just build my own pcs using components from newegg, works great (asus mobos, fast dualcore cpu). macs never appealed to me, seemed more for people who don’t know how to use computers
Hey please tell some more what kind of features or whats better in general with mac for those who didint use mac till now i would be interested to hear . Why did you change your mind what exactly did the impact at this point for you ?
Congrats well done !
Wowo that looks nice and usefull but still i am not sure that it could compete with major 3D software developers but i think form some certain tasks it would be a very nice choice .
Exactly ! Thats my point but there is another point of view since if you need to make a WP theme first you have to make a HTML ANYWAY so its possiblle to make a html and after upload if it sells and if gets approved you may try to find someone who will convert HTML to WP and it will be a bit more easy than from scratch .
But you never now how it will go with approves and all that and also since you are not making the theme by yourself it will be hard to help your customers and answer theyr questions about the theme which you did not coded… because the theme sells good not always for a good design and features but the support is also a driving thing for customers…
