Try and use enqueue. Otherwise if a plugin enqueues say a new version of jQuery, there will be conflicts. Otherwise if you just enqueue jQuery, WP will take care of the dual enqueues.

January 2009 to August 2010 = 1 yr 7 months = 1.58 years.

Rounding 1.58 off, its 2 years. Remember, the amount of time here isn’t very accurate ;)

It’s a fine line between it being handy to change and fix quickly, and being uncontrollable – the preview has to resemble the contents of the file, which the reviewers check. When you can just freely change your preview, you could, in theory, easily break this ‘rule’.

So does the thumbnail image, and that can be changed at any time..

I think you originally meant “TEMPLATEPATH” not TEMPLATE _URL …

Nope, TEMPLATEPATH gives the actual file path – like /nfs/www/httpdocs/ blah blah. Not the www.domain.com type url.

I’m not saying I NEVER use plugins. I do. But plugin is one thing. Scripts are other. By plugin I mean hoverIntent, fancybox (which is more of a script) or that color animation plugin. But to develop sliders and tooltips… do it yourself… you’ll have more freedom and do exactly what you want…

Well, I guess its a matter of opinion. Personally I would never unnecessarily write a plugin unless thee was nothing that suited my purposes. It’s happened, and it was definitely a learning experience.

@themeblvd: +1. I agree!
