I was looking at some new products and this strange login request popup appeared on this page: http://activeden.net/item/as2-xml-team-viewer/63400

It says: The server www.flashgalaxy.net at Restricted Area requires a username and password. Then it asks you to type it in.

I did some searching for flashgalaxy.net and it appears that it was referenced by a banned member called FlashBlue:

You need to define #000000 as the background color of your SWF with your Object/Embed code within your HTML .

If you’re using free fonts, be sure to let the reviewer know where you got it from or they’ll assume it’s not free. It’s also important to include the licensing agreement (if any) that came with the font package you were using to redistribute it. If that isn’t available, provide a link to the font’s location.

It’s valuable to other buyers and potential buyers to see solutions to other peoples problems and inquiries. As an author you just have to deal with a large volume of file comments/questions and emails. Ignore them at your own peril.

It’s a difficult thing to keep up with for sure. It’s easy to spend 1-2 hours just responding to everyone. Making an FAQ would certainly help – as long as you aren’t defaulting your responses to RTFM

There are several templates dubbed XML Website v3.

That’s something I had a hard time figuring out – was the balance of design. As an author you need to make your files appeal to as many people as possible. So it takes a good blend of minimalistic interface design and high customization. Letting the buyers have load their own background images and custom colors, etc is best so they can customize the template to their liking.

It’s a matter of time when the black xml template idea gets oversaturated with a lot of people doing the same thing. This alone should be enough for authors to begin more creative stuff.

You deserve it. That design is kick-ass.
