It is, in many European languages (German, any Scandinavian Language, sometimes English, etc). I think that makes it even worse that I chose this name.

Luckily in Greek it derives from the ancient Greek word ???? (unicode not available in this forum… in latin spelling: “alki”), meaning “strength” and sometimes also “truth, virtue”, so at least where I live people don’t assume that I’m an alcoholic.

Doesn’t seem too bad to me – I read it to sound like ” al – kiss ” so not alcoholics. Of course you can change your name, but maybe it would be a bad idea once you’re an established author.

Yep, I think that especially some videohive authors won’t know where the heck I’ve disappeared – at least the first months the traffic might decrease.

I mainly use Ableton Live’s built in Operator synth, with some built in delay/reverb fx and then reversing some of those sounds and samples.

You might wanna try out the vst synth “Synplant” though, probably suitable for what you’re looking for.
