Additionally…. you can’t install the HTML templates into Wordpress. There is a difference between a template and a theme.

Sorry, may i will clarify myself: If you are looking for a specific theme you will find that some theme authors build it in Wordpress and also in Joomla. Which means the visual aspects when you look at the themes are exactly alike. De admin dashboard, and technique are different though. It was my response on you saying Joomla websites look more sophisticated. I’m saying alle the looks possible in Joomla re also possible in Wordpress. However if you don’t have any experience in either of them go for the platform you have the most faith in. I would suggest Wordpress but other people here may advise Joomla or Drupal over Wordpress.

They both are quite alright. I tried Joomla a few years ago but I do prefer the dashboard of Wordpress. But that’s just a matter of opinion. About themes; almost each theme build in Joomla can be build in Wordpress as well. In the past Wordpress used to be a blogging platform. A lot happened and changed since then. I do believe the wordpress community is bigger than Joomla’s but I could be wrong…And yes there are a lot of free themes around. But always ask yourself the question; Why does one offer a theme for free? You will find that themes that you pay for are either more sophisticated, advanced or reliable (security issues). And key question is what does it have to do for me?

And finally, Don’t mind checking other cms platforms as well if you want to invest the time that is…. :-)

There may be a few reasons why things go as they do:
Yesterday I reported a warez site to support. I received a reply saying they are investigating the matter however also stated the following:

If you are the original copyright holder of the items you are reporting, it is important that you also try sending your own DMCA notice, sometimes due to high volume of tickets we cannot address all the copyright cases.
Also there is a difference to what’s the right thing, see whats wrong and make it legally arguably (my english may not be clear here).
However in order to get the copied items removed as quickly as possible:
  • File a ticket to support always
  • Contact the author through his profilepage who you think copied your item

O jeee, that looks horrible :-0
Unfortunately I am not that familiar with Buddypress but just googling on buddypress and admin breaking shows a lot of links. Could have something to do with different versions of Wordpress, buddypress and the supported versions by the theme. I’m not a Wordpress expert at all but maybe can assist in some diagnosticss. What where you working at when it broke? After installing the theme or after installing buddypress?

Strange, link is working fine to me. Could be temp. issue. It happens once in a while. Please try again. The link puts you in contact with the author who knows the theme the best. This is a public forum for general questions. Item specific issues can be asked best to the author of the theme. I can’t help you as I am not that familiar with Joomla at all.
