Hi everyone! I’ve been trying to create new tracks and keeping or even improving the musical quality. However I’m now on a very tight and busy schedule because of my job and that keeps me from just sitting down and inspire myself in creating new tracks to enlarge my portfolio. Any advice out there on how to keep producing when this is not your main job?

Gotta say it will be this one:

I don’t know about you guys, but I feel that everybody is jumping in the “Acoustic/Folk Wagon” trying to raise their sales, but that definitely doesn’t help to the music diversity we are used to have in AJ. Just go with your style, with what you feel comfortable doing, and do it the best you can. Sales will come (coming from someone whose portfolio does not have any acoustic/folk song).

I have that question, since I’ve had many things to do this month and haven’t been able to participate much in the forums. Last month I was very active here, and my sales were great! But this month I haven’t been so active and I’ve seen a decline in sales. Could it be possible that being active or inactive in forums could affect sales?

Yes you can! I actually have some tracks that I bundled into a Music Pack.

I have a BD in Communications and Advertising, work as a freelance audio producer, and part-time Call Center Agent.

Even more frustratingly is my totally inability to create anything new… I have only been able to upload from a back catalog since joining in Feb due to major building work going on in my home… My mac and everything else has been under a pile of dust sheets for 3 months :( I am happy to say that yesterday, I started placing my gear in its new home and should be starting to reconnect today…. Shall see how it goes… :)

I don’t know about any of you but not being able to compose and hearing all the great new stuff here and everywhere else has been an incredibly frustrating experience!!!

It’s been awfully frustrating for me, just two sales in April! But, still keeping my hopes high that things will turn around by the end of the month.

It could probably be Spring Break, but I feel April has been a quite slow sales month, or is it just me that I’m lacking good sales? March was a great month!
