i went with 24 hour cookie expire

curious if anyone limits submissions per 24 hours.

found a piece of code that will do so, but my site is a link submission site and i want to limit per 24 hours.

the user doesnt have to be logged in though, so the code I found limits per user logged in.

what would be the best way? set a 24 hour cookie?
