Thanks for the fast replys..

I read the welcome message which among other tings says: “Need a pic for your commercial website design?”

I just interpreted that this gave the right to use the image in a website design sold here but i was clearly wrong :)

I will send and email to the image authors to get their acceptance.

Hi

I have until now in all my designs used pictures from www.sxc.hu without having any trouble. However when I tried to upload my latest design it got rejected because I haven’t aquired some license to redistribute the images. This has never been an issue before but if authors needs to have e special license for every picture used in a template I would rather get the pictures elsewhere.

Are there any stock image website where you don’t need any license and are free to use all the pictures as you wish?

Nice link :)

Regarding the widespread of ASP .NET i refer mostly to danish companies. Among the top 50 danish companies I think 45-46 of them uses ASP .NET.

This tells me that ASP .NET has to be the future if all these companies prefer that language.

Also on the job market I can see a huge demand for ASP .NET programmers compared to the demand for PHP programmers.

But this is only my thoughts and maybe I am wrong :)

+1

Really nice ideas. Especially the one with the updates tab. As an author I cannot see the point in spending a lot of time improving “old” templates which most likely wont increase sales. That time could be spend much better creating a new template. The update tab will make the time you spend on improving your templates worth it and generally give themforest a higher standard of templates.

I also really like PHP and that is why I want to try our coding frameworks. So, what is the best of the best? :)

@shadow:

Many websites clearly states that ASP .NET is a lot better than PHP for example sitepoint: http://www.sitepoint.com/article/v-php-top-6-reasons-use-net/2/.

I have also noticed that many of the largest companies have converted/build their website in ASP .NET. From that I conclude that ASP .NET has to be the future programming language simply because that is what people want.

Or am I completly wrong?

I have heard that CodeIginter should be the “Light/easy” version of frameworks. That is not what I want. I know PHP but I just didn’t use frameworks earlier. That is also the reason why I want “THE BEST ” framework and not one that is made for PHP beginners :)

Hi

I have been designing websites/templates for about 4 years now. I also know some PHP but i think it is time for me to focus a little more on the programming. I want to do this the best way and after what I have read, using frameworks are the way to do it.

However it is important to choose the right/best framework so my question is: What is the best framework at the moment?

I also have another question which may be a little of topic. I have wondered about learning ASP .NET which seems to be the future programming language but it is a lot more expensive than PHP and there are not nearly as much learning material. But is it worth it to learn this language or can I just stick with PHP ?

@stmcan:

My computer is as clean as it gets. I have used three different anti virus programs and a spy ware program to scan my computer and none of them found a virus/spyware.

@Henricristo: I have deleted it from all my files, so i can’t show exact what is was. However if the it appears again I can show you the code.

Luckily, the code has not been added to any of my designs yet :)

@jonathan01:

I am using www.one.com. A rather larger company which have won awards for their hosting. But i was suprised too, when i got the message that they were sure that it was me who had a virus on my computer even though I told them that the files were clean when I uploaded and then got “infected”.

One.com are currently hosting a couple of my domains and i have been using them for 4 years now and I have never had a problem with them. But one time has to be the first, right?:)

However i do not think it is a real person who is editing my files. Why would he/she ONLY edit the index page in every template and leave out the rest of the pages. Also it is the same code that is being entered every time. Therefore I think it is somekind of bot or something like that, which causes the problem.

I now have the exact time of every template uploaded so when (if) these changes I know that someone/something have edited my files and then I will contact one.com with the new information. Maybe this time the will take some action.

Thanks for your help :)

Hmm.. They could not find anything wrong :(

However i have tried to download all the files from the serverand afterwards deleted everything from the server. I scanned the files with 3 different anti virus programs which did not find anything. I have changed the password on the server and reuploaded the files again.

Now I just hope i never see that piece of code again :)
