No, I don’t mean that. I mean that when I for example run an advertising campaign to get referrals and I want to track how successful that campaign was. (and for example I am doing split testing etc). I need to know which one did better and where to invest more.

I think they could be hosted on our own hostings as every theme also need some specific settings, or plugins too. But we will see.
