I was about to post the same; mine has been in queue for 13 days now! I sent out an email to support via the contact form on the site, but didn’t get any confirmation or reply as of yet.
Ah I’ve been wanting one for years! I have lots of work I’d love to showcase there.
I see that most of the bundles come from TF and GR. Why does envato not include items from all the marketplaces in all the bundles? The lesser popular marketplaces need more exposure, hello?!
I’ve been having these issues since ages and I’ve reported similar issues too: here, here and here. It’s probably because the scripts are being loaded on-demand which makes features like the “reply” button, “more information” link on the ratings, “sort by” filter etc. unusable for a few seconds.
@bensmithett .. you’re probably not seeing these issues because you might be on a fast internet connection comparatively. try it on a bit slower internet; i get about 200-300 kbs download speed. hope that helps.
@kdubdent .. i think envato needs to improve the current homepage, go back to its roots in prioritizing the community and stop commercializing the marketplaces by bringing in top companies with established products and giving them more profits and incentives than an average author. You are forgetting that those are companies with capital and more man-power, and most of us here are individuals. True, they may bring in some traffic, but it’s a bad trade-off when most of your authors are overshadowed by their already established products.
Anyway, more companies like envato are emerging, building on envato’s successful principles and taking the game further by offering no-exclusivity lock-down and better profits on sales. I think envato needs to stay ahead of the game by offering such incentives too. Like 50% profit on sales is too low for the amount of effort all the authors put in and then we offer free premium support too. Kindly consider increasing the percentage a bit as almost all marketplaces are beginning to offer much more. I love it here, and would like to see this community stay and be ahead of the competition. And who knows, with all these new features, incentives and updates, we may see more quality products which would attract more buyers.
That’s a sign that instead of adding more marketplaces, existing must be improved first. I hope they start rolling out updates a bit faster than before. Would hate to see these marketplaces take a dip.
I’ve noticed that clicking on some components doesn’t work right away, for example:
Clicking on “more information” on the ratings; Clicking on “Sort by Sales” on almost all pages;
I’ve discovered that these work after a few seconds have passed since the page has loaded. What I can guess from that is that certain scripts are being loaded on the page on demand, which overall, slows down things and renders some components useless for some time. This in turn makes the user think things are broken on the site—at least that’s true with me, and I’ve been noticing the “Sort by Sales” issue since quite some time now.
I’ve seen some very poor coding on themeforest, and some themes hog on computer memory crazily. Most buyers don’t see that nor do they get that because of lack of technical knowledge. Ones who do know, create a roar and for them I think rating 1 star is justified but on the other hand, I think anything rated below 3 stars need to have a review from the buyer. If they were that frustrated with the product, at least the author deserves to know why so he can fix it in future versions.
Plus I also think, once the item is updated, if there’s a significant update, the ratings should be allowed to reset in someway, as in a way, it’s a completely new product.
