The review is only available to you and that particular customer. It is not public. Just the star ratings are public.
Thanks for the reply and confirmation.
Do you think it should be made public Otherwise not seeing any good reason for this feedback.Regards.
Really? I think it’s invaluable, those random 1* reviews that bugged you as you had no idea why you’d got a 1* – now you may find out in the comment.
I think it’s a brilliant change!
I don’t get it?
Is possible to use a dynamic stylesheet generated by a custom function and then enqueue it? Or break some rule? Thanks
I am pretty sure that would be allowed, but I wouldn’t recommend it as I’ve seen on numerous occasions authors saying they’ve done it and it’s just caused headaches. Largely due to different server setups and file permissions etc.
Today is a bright sunny day so I decided to take my standing desk outside on the balcony. Great view!! Anyone else working outdoors?
I’ve toyed with the idea of sitting outside, but I could never use one of these modern standing desks. The black leather desk chair is just too comfy.
Idea -> Features -> Plan (inc. rough outline of classes and their purpose, along with rough DB schemas) -> Design -> Coding.
I’m happy for you. Congratulations!
Yes, It’s disappointing to see such themes are approved while others are not OR it’s better to say that it’s disappointing to see your theme is rejected meanwhile not some better ones are approved.Anyway. Good luck with sales
Thanks Hoping yours gets through approval too sometime soon!
Just as an update, our item now looks like it’ll go through and be approved now that we mentioned the HTML version.
Still, when you look at what’s been approved (even today/yesterday) it’s a joke. Some of them are literally so bland and minimalist, yet they fly through. And every single one so far I looked at has been an elite author.
This is the worse part. This morning when I woke up, I decided to accept the rejection and make some major changes to my theme and resubmit it for review again. But after opening ThemeForest and saw new themes, I completely loosed my hope as I saw that not good enough design is not the reason of rejections…
I get soft rejected all the time (and 2 times I took the item down from the hidden tab as the reviewers’ remarks and my own were not in line at all). If I get a theme in without a soft rejection I’m typically amazed.
Spending 8 months on your very first ThemeForest theme (or any theme really) is a bit much longer than the risk that it’ll either be out of date (design wise), the market will change, or that the item won’t get accepted – I recommend you do a second one without that much time, to alleviate this risk.
Don’t give up yet – it’s so worth it to be able to help people throughout the world establish an online presence. Oh, an us authors are pretty much cool.
These aren’t soft rejections, they are hard rejections. Unwarranted hard rejections, but hard rejections nonetheless.
This is an amazing piece of art. I usually agree with the reviewers in 99% of the cases, but that is very unique and good looking. The only think I can think of, from design stand point is that the contrast of the typography can be a bit better, because it’s not readable sometimes (I mean the glass version)
P.S. I just saw you’re a Bulgarian and followed you. Keep up the good work man, with just a little bit more work this think will get accepted and I’m sure you’ll get a ton of sales for such a unique layout!Good luck!
Come on… Do you really think that this theme’s rejection reason is typography or such similar things? Just take a look at recently approved themes. You’ll find out that theme reviews are not fair anymore. Themes with much more worse typography are accepting everyday…When I see this theme is rejected, I really forget my problem…
I agree. Not to pick on individuals, but in the recently approved list check out ‘couponize’. Its footer is so bland, with fairly bad typography (spacing is way off, line height too), yet that got through the review process.
Anps saidWell I’m not the theme author It’s for @designedbydash.
Hehe, nop that is not the case, but about the html section i already stated that you should contact them again, about the issues i just pointed out the ones i would change. Cheers
Yeah we’ve subbed a ticket, but it’s getting more and more annoying the more new items are approved.
I’m not going to start bashing other themes, but one was just approved which has a fairly horrific design (imo) and to top it off the icons don’t even work (latest FF). Another one after that has possibly the most bland footer in the world, with horrendous typography… it’s just getting worse by the second.
At least three or four themes, in the WordPress category, have been approved today that I would say are below the standard of our theme. I’m likely a bit biased, but there’s no way ours should’ve been rejected due to lack of uniqueness.
