Before anything else, secure your website. Install from the very beginning a couple of security plugins. Security is a very important issue when using WordPress and WP plugins and themes.
If you want to count more precisely – count median size multiplied by items count per each marketplace and per each category. I guess item size varies significantly depend on the marketplace and sometimes between categories on the same marketplace. For example it’s hard to sum Photodune and Videohive items without any weighting.
I’m on Videohive and my uploaded items lately are around 600-800 mb per item average. So my guess Envato shall have at least 1000 Tb.
P.S. Just bought NAS and have around 14Tb of effective storage in RAID 6.
So 1000Tb does not sounds as something extremely big anymore.
What’s a NAS? My husband (a videographer) could use that one
Hi folks, thanks for your patience.
We’ve just pushed out a few minor updates:
More to come early next year.
- We’ve darkened on the other seven site logos, to reduce the visual noise a little and further emphasise the current site.
- We’ve increased the contrast of the icons in the user drop-down menu.
- We’ve updated the hub to pre-select the referring site from the search select box (if you came from VideoHive to the hub, the search box will be set-up to search VideoHive, not the first site in the list, which could disrupt your flow). This isn’t perfect yet (the referrer is dropped if you’re routed through single sign-on), but it’s an improvement in many cases and we’ll tackle single sign-on soon.
I just noticed that, I searched the forums for this just to say thank you ! Great and useful change!
I never planned this, but I recently had a USA customer on a freelancing website and he has a website with a lot of videos about body building and yoga ….and his main requirement was that his website should work on ALL console browsers. I must say that job was the most difficult I have ever done really
First it was awkward but now I totally love it!
After a couple of days of testing on various website setups, I saw that everything loads faster and this is what I appreciate most.
The bad thing is the security, I have on all websites a lot of security plugins installed and I noticed an increase in security alerts and login attempts since with WordPress 3.8.
So please be careful and install security plugins!
Too bad people are not joining this thread with their videos I am a fan of videos and I would love to see creative videos I will try to post mine, this thread is funny
I searched today the exact same thing for a background for a videographer website and you can find a lot of good videos like that one if you search for “smoke” or “particles”.
(be careful the video needs to have the field Looped=yes at the bottom right – where they say what is the resolution of video)
Thank you both I thought it should be the regular one after reading that, but I wanted to make sure. Million thanks guys!
I am developing a website for my husband who is a videographer.
I wish to use a loopable video as background for the intro page
I have found a nice video for this (a stock footage here on videohive) but I don’t know which license I have to buy?
The regular or the extended?
The website itself does not produce income, but the website owner (the videographer) produces income.
Elite with only 3 items that’s quite a record congratulations and enjoy the elite package!
