EDIT : Using a network sniffer one can indeed verify that LeakedIn.org only sends out hashes. Still, never enter your password anywhere but where it’s ment to go.
This is definitely a good rule of thumb, I suppose I shouldn’t be advertising “yeah enter your password it’ll be fine.” But the story is that the emails were retained, but the passwords were distributed in a file so people can generate brute force lists (I guess.) Chrome’s got a built in network sniffer that’ll tell you about all incoming and outgoing traffic – specifically the XHR request I mentioned previously are the ones called after the page loads – generally AJAX . I assumed for the most part that this wouldn’t be very dangerous, but again it’s always smart to keep your passwords to their respective domains.

http://leakedin.org/ <—If anything I’d be careful using this site, since you basically giving your password to them! :D
No XHR requests before the password is hashed using SHA -1. The only thing you should worry about is having a crappy password! Haha, but really – there shouldn’t be much concern – they don’t have your email so there’s not much risk. If you have a strong password it’ll take a very long time to crack – I’d say very little risk even if they were storing the SHA -1 hash you submitted.

It’s worth noting, you can check your password here: http://leakedin.org/

Oh please do that! I have no knowledge about App development whatsoever but may I ask… can you make it so it replaces the regular clock on the home screen of the phone? I’d love to have that clock instead of the default one. :)

I’d likely use an SDK called PhoneGap, which turns HTML , CSS + JS into Apps, so I’m not sure what restrictions there would be there.

Thanks! Not that I have any prior experience, but I may end up turning this into an android widget. We’ll see. :P

Hey guys & gals, what does ThemeForest think of this clock I made? It’s not strictly speaking original, but I saw something like this today and had to make one. This one only took me a couple hours. Here it is.

Note: This isn’t actually an item submission by any means, just wanted to get some feedback.

In reply to both of you, I actually just haven’t got around to doing those pages yet! Haha, they should be done relatively soon though.. So no, they shouldn’t do anything at this point. As far as the pixel-perfectness of it goes, it would be nice.. But I’m not sure how reliable it is going to be, seeing as the icons are actually part of a web font (which look different from browser to browser anyways..) Again thanks for the positive reviews though!

Hahah, well I’m not sure the grandparents could perform such a task! I made the changes you recommended, because I think they are good suggestions. Makes the site more usable in general. Since the target audience would probably be both web developers and prospective clients, those changes are for the best.

Thanks for the feedback, I’ll definitely add a pointer cursor to it. Now to get the parents to test it out! Hahahah.
