My G+ profile is over at: gplus.to/joelvardy
I had a quick search of the forums, but didn’t want to start posting in Guilherme’s 4 month old photography thread – which is a good read.
Background
I’ve always been interested in photography, my dad’s cameras have been around the house since I was little. He, despise having a few nice DSLRs still seems to just point and shoot a photo (don’t very often see him capturing creative viewpoints ect..) I however don’t have a problem with getting on the floor, or trying to find a high viewpoint to get a unique photograph. It’s only been the last few months that I’ve started taking photos, when my dad gave me his canon 350D and a few lenses.. I also started a photography course at college in September which has certainly helped me develop ideas, and prints
(nothing like the smell of a chemical bath..)
On January the 1st I started a 365 Project (where you take at least one photo every day for a year – 365 days in a year – the names kinda making sense, right?) I’m already in the habit of having a camera bag on my back, so I should achieve some interesting opportunistic shots over the year.
Just before Christmas when we had a lot of snow (for this area of the country in recent years…) I captured some photos of the local environment, they have been added to the winter section of the Envato asset library – you are free to use these in any products for sale on the Envato network.

Hmm, whats wrong with wooden desks?Wooden desks do look really nice!![]()
Whats with Apple users and wooden desks?I actually think this is because they use wooden desks in the apple shops (or at least in my local one) so it’s a subliminal message telling the followers to have a wooden desk.
- Yes I’m winding you up.
Really nice man, but the question is: “do you have a window?”![]()
HaHa, that really is the question.
Yes I do have a window, it’s: 1×1.8 metres, with a top opening

When I got on the forums this morning I saw this thread and remembered I had said I’d take a new photo of my room.. Well here it is:

I thought I’d take a photo this evening, while doing some geo work.. My room doesn’t get ‘messy’ but this is it being used:
