I’m a math wizard… but I’d take at least a 60% cut for all the calculations I could bring to the table…

I guess I’m that risky outsider…

do not hire me… :(

If you were the client… and I heard you say that… these are the words that I pulled out.

- general population ( common people would be using it, so needs to not swing towards a certain demographic ) - help people get started ( UI needs to be easy, because you are probably targeting people who don’t know linux or barely no much about their Windows OS) - the least intimidating - “Check out how easy it is.”

So to help answer your questions:

1. Colors – I’d pick light earth tones or a range of florescent tones that aren’t all bright.

2. Font – Helvetica, it’s common, it’s everywhere, people know it, and it doesn’t swing to any one demographic… or use something similar…

3. Logo – of course linux and starter will be in the logo… if you want to add some kind of symbol around it, I personally wouldn’t make it anything extravagant… it needs to be simple like the rest of the site…

4. background – white, it’s simple, it’s “Rice your Computer”

5. see above… :)

hope that helps.
