I think it would be beneficial if there was an option to see who bought your templates, I know there is an option now but it’s very vague, there should be for example a list that only you can see with who bought it that certain day, maybe in the Statement.
It would help us see trends and message users if there is an update to the template or something is wrong with it. Also it would help us see re-curring buyers and offer some sort of rewards to them.
Just a thought, let me know what you think…
I usually set up a document 1000×1000 and work my way from there.
I think so far the best idea is adding a comment in the help file reminding the buyer to rate.
Keep in mind also that a user doesn’t just buy one file and that’s it, imagine five days after your purchase, you receive 10 emails requesting ratings for the files.
Well it’s a good idea to make sure to name all of your layers and group them together so that it’s easier for the user, it takes some time but I find it’s very much worth it at the end.
Also make sure to delete any useless layers so that not to confuse the user.
Well ultimately it should be up to the user, sending them constant reminders would only aggravate them I find. If the user loves the theme and is satisfied with the service he will surely leave a comment/rating and shop again, if he isn’t he won’t. It’s that simple.
Thanks for the reply, just making sure I got it right =]
Edit: Also, xmdsys, got to complement you on your News 360 theme, by far one of my favorites on the site.
From what I understand you just add your ?ref=_username (without the underscores) to the end of the url correct?
