Still nothing since Easter, even after uploading a happy corporate u2ish track. Looks like I might have to buy a ukulele :D

And add to the already huge pile here that everything gets buried under. Ditto for corporate/happy/uplifting. These type of tracks are clagging up AJ.

Same for me. AJ always gets your expectations for a good month high at the beginning only to fizzle out towards the end like a disappointing firework. So glad I was never exclusive because it looks like it makes no difference to sales. Again I will say new music and SFX for me seems to make a sale not long after being accepted and then into obscurity.

By biggest recommendation is to always submit your best work. If your work isn’t currently up to the site’s standards, just keep learning and practicing. You’ll get there :-)
That sounds nice as a theory. The problem comes when you see the site’s gallery and you find there’s no clue to work out which are those standards. At the gallery you can find really awful cliparts as well as great pics from very talented photographers. As for it concerns to me, I try to do it as good as the best ones. But when I meet my “submit your best work” hard rejected and then I find Windows 98’ish cliparts with Comic Sans accepted, my motivation to keep contributing here just dies.

+1 to that. KingDog – No disrespect but some of us a experienced enough to not submit less than quality and have been photographers for many years. We are all experiencing the same frustrating rejections which don’t seem logical.

More hard rejections for perfectly good images accepted elsewhere. No explanation as to why. Not sure it is worthwhile uploading anymore. Too frustrating.

I had a play with Ozone but I found that you can get the same results by combining many free plugins. Like you say, it’s a basic understanding of knowing what you are doing. Just trust your ears and play around until it sounds nice. What I can’t fathom is how some artists here have managed to get their tracks sounding so loud without clipping. I push my limiter but any higher and it clips.

Well adding to my port is diminishing sales. Still dead as a doornail. Who broke the search ?

Too bad the first week of April for me. Much worse than last year at this time.

This certainly is a step back for me. Maybe the search system on to influence my account obviously.

Maybe it’s time to open a non-exclusive account.

I hope that things improve.

So we can’t all be wrong. WHAT IS GOING ON ?

Why open a non exclusive account ? I am non exclusive and sales keep tanking.

Some customers are just looking for a corporate track, and as long as it sounds good it doesn’t matter which one. If a track sells within the first 24 hours there’s no way the customer has created a custom project based on that track. They just wanted any track that has the corporate sound. The next day 50 more will be visible and the buyers go for those since they sound very similar. The demand is just “a corporate track that sounds good”. And since hundreds are uploaded each week, the new ones sell, or the top sellers. Every single good corporate track can’t get 1000 sales as there simply aren’t enough buyers for that yet.
But I have experienced this in all genres, especially the ambient genre and they were not corporate sounding tracks.

+ 1
