Stop mentioning that EnterFrame event.. i don’t think has anything to do with the current needs. Here is needed a Timer that will fire on every 0.5 seconds(depending on speed of the fall).. and every time that timer triggers you must check if the block has hit the floor or other block. If hit… break apart the block… and check if a line or more are full. If lines detected… pause the timer, animate the line destruction and move down the rest of the structure. ...

Or you can use a tweening engine to move the block down and with a complete check everything, no loops required

It is not difficult at all just make it grid based and after every move check if there are full lines if there is one remove it and slide everything above it one tile down
