I’d say what Collis talked about is actually very, very unknown to the vast majority of people. Pretty sure the fact that Envato essentially started in a men’s bathroom is not widely known.

I was at Pressnomics and saw the presentation live. Truly inspiring. I also got the opportunity to sit down and talk to Collis personally for a while.

Networking with members of the Envato community, and the WordPress community, as he did at Pressnomics, is extremely valuable to Envato and all of its marketplace members.

I spent a while personally talking with Collis about how to improve the marketplaces for authors, so saying that he wasn’t working to improve the sites simply isn’t true at all.

Collis told me personally that one of his goals with going to Pressnomics was to directly interact with prominent members of the marketplace and WordPress community and to get their feedback on how to improve the ecosystem in the Envato marketplaces.

I have noting but respect for the dude.

I can’t login with Chrome at all on one of my computers. The other works fine. I’ve cleared all caches and cookies.

Yes you can. I have several plugins on here that support add-ons, and the add-ons are also sold here.

@cosmincotor there really isn’t a great code snippet out there. I would personally recommend not trying to use any code snippet as every single one of them goes against what should be happening.

I also wouldn’t be including short codes (except very specialized ones in your themes). For example, if you want to add columns, suggest your users install this plugin: https://github.com/justintadlock/grid-columns

The problem is actually an issue with WordPress, not themes (except themes that try to fix it). The best thing to do is work on fixing the issue in core and submit a patch.

Bulletproof solution: do not any of this. This kind of behavior should only ever be done in plugins.

These kind of snippets literally cause me and many other plugin developers dozens or hundreds of hours in support requests.
