My first theme was accepted in one go and the second had a little bug in opera and needed some more documentation so was accepted during the second review.

There is this excitement during your first few themes where it’s so easy to miss small things. I had studied the marketplace and read everything that was needed to know, before working on my first theme. I guess, most authors skip that. There’s a lot of info on the forum and you will get great tips here.

I would’ve had many themes here but lost all my excitement due to a copyright infringement. Now, I’ve started a firm and my partner has convinced me these things happen and we should leverage the opportunity that TF & few other marketplaces have to offer. Hence, am back and you could expect more themes from us

@LoewenWeb summed it up pretty well. I prefer @font-face always since as a user it freaks me out when I’m not able to select some text. Selecting text is my OCD

I get it on my PC sometimes. But very less frequently these days. All you need to do is press Windows key + D or just minimize photoshop and right click in the task bar and maximize again

Use png-24 instead of png-8, especially for 1px images. You’ll also notice the size will be lesser than png-8 sometimes and quality of the image much higher.

Have each navigation item actually link to an “about.html, “contact.html etc” page that would be your template containing only the about (or contact or bio etc) info in it. When the user clicks, override it with Javascript to hide and show content. If it’s disabled, it will simply bring up your nice template with some about content

It’s got nothing to do with JS. You need to use overflow:hidden on a container < div > and use named anchors for links.

Fancy name but a simple technique which a good front-end developer should know.

Check out mine, it will degrade gracefully without JS. Oops, I should rather say progressively enhanced with JS.

You should use named anchors and scroll it progressively with JS/jQuery.
